Thanks for the video and your insight...much appreciated. Question - do you remove the tube from the Venturi fitting if you perform a static Regen? Seems that the heat would potentially melt the tube as temps on the downside of pipes...can reach upwards of 450 degrees. Thank you in advance!

I put a stainless double barbed 90° on mine and routed it to passenger side. I got the spe kit with the intern catch can. I got two 4" to 3.5" adapters and tig'd them together on the 3.5" dia and added an evac system for a true venturi with the venturi system you mention. It draws 6-8" hg at 2-2100 rpm where it spends most of its time. It was deff a more involved job and routing spe's reroute hose is floppy I only used a small section of it. I got a b-nut and sleeve, flared 5/8 x .035 wt 5052-O tubing and it runs the same path as the exhaust up to and behind a harness, trans and oil dipstick tubes where it terminates about 8" from the spe spout. I ended up using only about a ft of the spe hose. Thanks for this video, good idea with the catch can but I didnt have the disposal income enough to get that expensive catch can. May add that at a later date if needed but as for now i see no oil deposits out of the straight piped exhaust. Planning to install a big muffler and fab up a similar looking stock twin tip - try to run under the radar so to speak.

Lol 😂 I can’t believe that you actually think that the Venturi principle that you are attempting to use works like you are stating. The amount of flow from your exhaust that you are depending on to assist the evacuation of the CCV system will not over come the distance (length of hose = friction loss), or the all the bends made by the hose starting at the valve cover itself (twist and bends = friction loss). To prove my point disconnect the hose at the valve cover and have someone raise the RPM to about 2500, place your hand over the hose and you will feel NO suction. To prove it even more light that cigarette and blow the smoke over the hose and you will see NO smoke entering it. To make matters even worse you actually ran it thru a catch can (more restriction and more friction loss) The CCV system does not require th engine to help suck out the gasses, the ONLY reason it is routed into the intake is to meet EPA guidelines. What you did was a complete waste of time and money. It is far better to just run it without the SPE internal catch can with only about 3 feet of hose to the atmosphere. Dude you are a hot mess, did you even think about what you were doing or just buy something off the internet and then tried to make it better ? Any knowledgeable diesel mechanic will laugh his butt off when he sees that useless conglomeration of parts ? 😂😂😂

    • @armedprophet3321

Mechanic or not pal, you can’t overcome basic physics (in this case regarding hydraulics) the amount of “suction” that you think you are getting running the length of the line, thru fittings, than a catch can and finally into your exhaust system just isn’t there. But keep puffin on cancer sticks, sucking back cheap beer and talking about your high school football days with your buddies under a tree while you pull a transmission. 😂😂😂. He is absolutely correct. CCV systems on diesels and gas engines exist solely to reduce emissions and unwanted smells. There is zero need to vent the crankcase into the intake unless you like running oily fumes through your turbo and intake plumbing. This is true regardless of how hard you work the engine.
