just want to say congratulations and this is one heck of a good whay to propose my chief would probably have let me propose on shift (hence why she is my fave chief) when i joined my department i was in a not so good relationship but my brother and sisters of the FD helped me trough it and now im here as a captain:) and again Congratulations!
That's a dynamite Sportster. I just bought a set of these Sharkroad slip ons for one of my XR1200's from ebay and going to mock them up and try the fab work and install end of this week. Will be a ton of work and PITA fitment but that sound is worth it. Your Sporster is a beauty.

looks great man! the only things I'd do would be some 14" rear shocks, heavier oil in the forks, braided break lines and race pads and better air cleaner/breather vent. Stock pipes look great and allow you to relax more, especially without 6th gear ;)
2020 1200. I bought it for my granddaughter. I put Vance & Hines slip ons and a windshield. After awhile she decided riding wasn’t for her. Now it’s mine and it looks and rides great. Last of the Evos.
Sportster is the best Harley, easy to work on and so reliable

have the 2019 sport same pipes $180 killer pipes sounds so good way worth the money. get these easy to put on 30 mins. don't spend $$$$$ on the others

all these thoughts on mods but nothing on the suspension? progressive 412's are affordable and make the ride 100% improved...
Do you need to tune the air intake for changing out to slip ons?
Stock wasn't actually bad, but those are sweet, word of advice, quality harley exhaust stuff is worth bank...especially when it's no longer available
Did you have to install the torque cones? Any backfire without?

I got the 2020 Sportster XL1200, I got it pretty much stock except for the air filter. When I bought it, it has an Arlen Ness air intake. The first thing I did was I bought the exact slip-on exhaust shark road from amazon. Change the LED turn signal, add luggage rack and sissy bar, swing arm bag. Probably my last thing on the list is just to add a windscreen.

Go for an intake and tuner as well you won't regret it, the 1200 is a dog in stock form due to the super restrictive stock intake. If you want to maintain warranty go with the Screamin Eagle tuner... it's not the best tuner, but it is EPA and Warranty friendly. I went with S/E tuner, intake and exhaust for warrany friendliness, and the Screamin Eagle Street Cannons sound pretty good without being too loud... mix of good sound, tolerable volume, and ok performance. (also at the end of the day it's my ringing ears) After my warranty is up I will get a much better tuner, and probably a 2-1 exhaust, don't really care for what I'm seeing available though, the one exhaust I've seen I like the most is the discontinued Vance and Hines Blackout (discontinued in like 2016) Though green and black is my favorite color combination, gloss black would have been better. Mine is vivid black, the gloss black and red/white/blue stripes look classy and slightly patriotic. I almost got the green/black...would have been sick in gloss.
How tall are you? I just ordered mine brand new so im curious about riding profile on this bike.
5’8 comfortable, I sit on my bike pretty much how I sit on on a chair

I got my 1200 last year. The first upgrades i got were LED lights. For the exhaust i went for the cobra speedster 909. They are extremly loud

Badass. I have a 2020 Iron 1200, and I’m going to probably keep it stock for another 1-3 years but I will definitely be upgrading it with new pipes and filter. What I do want to do in the immediate future is add new LED lights for more visibility.
Filter might be coming soon I just installed a LED day maker the other day video should be coming soon, maybe even keep stock for longer due to Harley Davidson‘s announcement July 13 with the new “ sportster “ coming out

The green on black is just a great look. I saw one around here and thought it looked better than the dynas and softails it was riding with. Was really impressed.

I like the styling still… at least AMF kept Harley from going out of business entirely- it’s pretty astonishing they made it through two world wars, the Great Depression and recession
I agree. When I bought my 2021 Iron 1200 with the white paint, I told my salesman I am considering NOT buying just because of the AMF style paint. Told him the same, worst bike Harley ever put out. I bought the bike anyway.

@@yeahbuddylopez Really? Man I hope you’re right! cause I was looking at the other shark roads that have the three slashes in the tips. Watched a video on those and the person that made the video said he had power loss. I was bummed cause I wanted tips but I don’t want to risk power loss. I will look into these then! Thanks!
I personally felt a little gain, I did not hear anything about 3 slashes causing powering lost
But if is power is your thing just do a full stage 1 air cleaner and tune 👍🏽

may i ask a question...i just bought the same bike last month i want to put the slip on's on i have the vance and hines. how did you install them without tuneing it??? they have yet to release an Euro 5 compliant harness for compatibility with the internal catalytic converter to allow third party exhaust products to even work. So I’m confused...i want to put mine on but scared to fuck it up
Installing the slip on’s are pretty easy ,you can put them on and do the tune it later .I did not tune mine yet, however tuning is a little out of my field and I will be taking it to the dealer when I install the air cleaner and have the dealer do the tune for me to complete a stage 1. The third-party exhaust product is the air cleaner, you can put the slip on’s without an air cleaner or tune. but when you put the air cleaner and get it tuned you will feel a real difference because then it’s a full stage 1 hope that helped👍🏽
@@yeahbuddylopez yes that helped man thank you...i kinda messed mine up by trying to tune it..i just picked it up yesterday from harley.. everything is good..just be careful if you put them slip on's yourself you're warranty is over. they told me that so i decided to just let harley put them on for me.. i'm not risking losing my warranty..ride safe my friend
