Great Video on the water. Trying to choose between this and the Yamaha FX HO. The FX reminds me of a small boat, and i already have one of those ... while the GP looks like a ski! Is the GP able to take a passenger on the back? I'm fairly light at 165 lbs and my wife at 117lbs. Would she be comfortable behind me?
I've had 3 people on mine. I wanted to get the fx school, but it was $6,000 more. The gp1800 can be a little unstable at low speed with 2 people, but I haven't had any issues yet. It's more about what you're looking for. My ski corners like crazy on the water. The fx is more comfortable and doesn't corner as sharp.
I can appreciate you taking the initiative and diving in and doing it yourself, but damn, that engine removal was painful to watch, lol. Like anything else, experience goes a long ways, and you’ll find after you pull a couple of them, you’ll figure out the sweet spots, angles, etc… and it will be just as easy as the videos you watched!! Keep up the good work!
Thanks man! I know. It is painful for me too. Lol. I met a guy that actually knows what he's doing and we are going to get this thing running. It will be coming up soon hopefully.
I just binged watched all 10 parts of the GTI series, with no ending. What happened, or what is the issue with it? You put a lot of time and money into it, shame that is is not working. BTW, good luck with the new ski.
I'm going to continue that soon. Have the parts I need.

I know this was a year ago, so you must have it done by now. Hope you are out having fun with it. I currently have a 97 GSX that is in parts on my bench that I am trying to get back together, it is getting there. BTW, for an IT dude, you certainly have a well stocked garage!!

I have the same ski! Love it done just over 100 hours on it so far. Just something I did for a better look( in my opinion) I removed the lower plan grey sticker on both sides at the front, it just gives it a bit cleaner look.
I have been thinking about that as well. I can't stop looking at it every time I walk by it. One of the best color schemes they've done in my opinion!

I've seen your videos! I'm down in west palm beach. Didn't wash my ski off soon enough after saltwater and now I have some spots. Tried the hot sauce and it wasn't working. Going to try white vinegar next.
