I wonder about his deeper motives and allegiances. He was trained and raised as a Jedi initiate, then (presumably) as an inquisitor or Sith merc but in this show he was neither Jedi nor Sith (despite the red saber). I think this is the closest approximation of a Grey Jedi/Force-User we have yet gotten to see on screen. Considering the Force in SW is likened after the Ying-Yang concept he would fit the role and his goal of finding true balance/the source does line up with that.

One thing i never understood is why baylan has a red lightsaber. He doesnt seem to me to be evil natured, certainly not enough to forxe his kaber crystal to bleed. Hopefully someone knows why and can educate me.

I honestly love this version of thrawn better than the animated, he so stiff and hardly moves, you cant tell what he's thinking, he's so composed, despite it being the same character, I feel like it works better in live action

That move at 5:18 is always sexy....his ability to simply but effectively block blasters mixed with his rock-solid strong stance makes him a very threatening force without him needing to utter a single word or make flashy moves. His aura could push you away as if the very air around him turned into a cat 5 hurricane windforce. RIP Stevenson - I have no idea how season 2 could ever survive without you, if it ever makes it at all.
