James Andre the Artist is a ripoff artist. In January 2019 I commissioned a piece for $250 dollars. It is now May 2020! My family is struggling to make ends meet and this man stole from me and has yet to provide the art I asked for or a refund! I have made multiple attempts over the last 16 months to get an art piece or a refund. He does not respond to polite messages about the art I commissioned or a refund, for months he won’t respond! He only responds if I state I will expose him for defrauding me. When he does respond he claims mental health concerns and so in August 2019 I agreed to give him 2 more months. I even offered to allow him to replace the art with other pieces of his I liked because what he did create was nothing that I asked for. He didn’t replace the art and I have a gut feeling the things he did state he created for me weren’t because they left out multiple elements I asked for and when I asked for the piece he still didn’t provide me with the art. At this point he has left me no recourse but to expose him for the ripoff artist he is. This was the first art piece I commissioned. I wanted to support a local artist and really enjoyed his art. I’ll never commission another piece again due to this horrible experience. The amount is a lot of money for me and his lack of professionalism is shocking. I am out $250 and for nothing. So in the end I have no art and am out $250. Do not do business with this man.
