I was 16 in 73 and watched all three races of Secretariat's triple crown run, and even then as it was happening I just knew I would never see anything like that again. He was the best, period.

If not for Secretariat Sham would have been a triple crown champion. Twice finishing second to Secretariat twice the only reason Sham finished last at Belmont was because he exhausted himself trying to keep up with Secretariat.

I think a many of these gunrunner colts n fillies are going to be Big Stuff ,for being pretty much the up n coming in my opinion. Fast,Heart, Lungs n more. They are keeoin them back but there so strong. Sierre Leone and another lil piece of dirt left, I blieve he'd of blew by.

As much as I love Secreteriat, the one horse that was more supreme in every way was of course THE MAGNIFICENT FRANKEL, I was at Newmarket to witness something ABSOLUTELY incredible, in the 2.000 guineas, 15 lengths clear at half way against top group 1 winners and wins in an absolute canter, then the Queen Anne turned into a procession, the speed was something I will never witness ever again in any racehorse,

Look at some of the older race's, at times there were only 5,6,7 horse's in the TC races.

The only one I hear about changing the TC date's, is the media. Would you put a * next to the winner, and say, the race was made easier? It's difficult for a reason. If you want larger fields, raise the purse size!

notice at 2:19 the crowd had broke thru the fencing and are literally inches from the Horses in deep stretch, its a miracle they didnt bolt or shy away badly...the crowd had trampled the tele-timer wiring and lens and thats why you got a skewed Track time for the race that day...craziness.

I get goosebumps every time I see Secretariat explode on that 1st turn. The announcer says hes last at the same moment you can see hes already taken off and passing horses. In seconds, he flies by them all and settles into 1st. Then, before finish line you can see Turcot start driving with his hands and Secretariat immediately responds, taking off again to lengthen the lead. Just amazing❤

I thought Junior put both Just FYI and Resilience in a position to win in the Oaks and the Derby. I thought for sure Just FYI was going to keep going and win but she flattened out. In the Derby the track announcer had Resilience in the lead, which was a bad call, but it dhows he was right there. He was supposed to be good for the distance, but I guess he was spent coming from the 19 hole. I’ve heard Junior say his job is to get them in a place to win and then it’s up to them.

Really just amazing... Secretariat ran each of the triple crown races differently, as if to say "I can win any way I choose to run". He's always talked about as the greatest racehorse ever, but he really might just be the smartest ever as well. What a freak of nature he was. And his race times could very well stand forever, especially the 2:24 in the Belmont.

I have a feeling Mystik Dan may do something in the future.........LOL

He needs to do that in the Kentucky Derby.....Oh he did!!!
