Like my wife and I we were tired of totally Democrat controlled cabal the has run and ruined what was once an amazing place to live. If you’re a conservative in California living in a metro area like Los Angeles you are in the total minority. We lived in North Hollywood which is just north of Universal Studios in the San Fernando Valley next to Burbank and for our state representative district during the past three to four elections cycles there were only Democrats on the ballot, it is total domination by the blue crew and and the homeless situation is a classic example of their total control.
Heartbreaking too as California is a beautiful state just very poorly run and destroyed by bad policies/ politicians.
CON :High cost of living and low paying jobs. In other words you better have money because Prescott has been taken over by the wealthy. Edit- you should have started with that. Saved us a lot of time
There are still some decent paying jobs here. Many remote jobs as well. We see a lot of new jobs coming online in the medical fields too. As for cost of housing it’s gone up just like everywhere
You did add that there is a Safeway grocery store. There getting two more hotels a Best Western and a town place suite Marriott. They have coffee shops, they are adding more eating places
Prescott valley has a Safeway grocery store, they are getting two more hotels Best Western, and Town place Suites Marriott, they are getting Raising Canes, church chicken,Cove Cafe, We Asian buffet, The Human Bean coffee shop, they have a truck stop in back on 89A with Mexican restaurant, BoBoDoughs, A&W Root Beer . They are getting Smart Girls Resale Fashine, Queen Esther's clthing shop, After Glow Jewelers, Linn's Nail Spa. You need to give people correction know how what's in the town of Prescott Valley it not Prescott.
Being residents of PV ourselves we actually feel we have a majority of what we need here without having to run to Prescott very often. Thanks for watching!
I want to move to Prescott vly. Hopefully it will out. Thank you for your videos.🎉
So glad you are enjoying the videos. More new videos coming soon! If we can help in anyway reach out. 928-800-4707. Thanks for watching!
How much is 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house?
Depends on area of town, if it’s newer or older ,site built or manufactured. There are homes in the 200s on up.
If you're a liberal, we don't want you here!
Hi are you able to help us find a 55+ rental property to rent? If not can you recommend someone? We are currently in Sun City West and it is too hot for our dogs. We moved from Oregon.
Hi Nancy we would love to help unfortunately we aren’t able to help with rentals. Our office has a rental company component called Unlimited RE. Can’t blame you in wanting to get out of the scorching heat of the Valley! Let us be the first to welcome you to Prescott.
Man you guys must be fun at parties lol. Doom and gloom culture we're in I guess.
We have a blast thanks for asking. 😎
I hate HOA's. I live in one now in the metro-phoenix area. I am looking to move somewhere up north outside of an HOA. I need a few acres of land for my needs. I could care less about HOA pros. HOA cons will always out weigh so called pros for me.
We aren’t big fans of HOAs either. Many options for acreage properties up here as well. Let us know if we can help and thanks for watching.
Looks like so much fun!
It was! Thanks for watching!
I was just in Prescott Valley last week. It is really growing. It has everything you can think of. I prefer actual Prescott. Prettier and cooler.
We love both definitely. It is nice that they are so different yet so close to each other. Thanks for watching.
Loving your videos. Hey, video idea 💡: healthcare in Prescott.

Tilling you how to live do not site will with me and they keep raising your fee and out pricing you out of your home, they need to get red of HOAs . HOAs are going broke
Just recently saw a flag flying on a house while out looking some properties with a client. It was good sized and read Defund the HOA! Very clever
Thanks for the info, we are actually in escrow on a home in Jasper, 11 month old home with upgrades from the original owner. Looking forward to living in the Prescott / PV area!
That is awesome Congratulations! Jasper is beautiful! We have more than a few clients in there and they all have the same things to say, they absolutely love it as well as they feel like they are in vacation all the time.
Daughter lives on Coyote Springs Rd,and has a thriving equestrian business, Compass Equine. Love it there in Prescott Valley. Open Spaces and great people.Close in,and yet lots of open spaces. The best of both Worlds.

Pretty smart thought. Never thought of it that way before. Thanks for watching.

Very true.
Are you realtors? You said you love Prescott history stories, when you responded to me.Heres a little more. M y great grandparents ,the Dearings and Simmons donated the land for the Prescott PIONEER Cemetery. They are buried there ,along with my grandparents and his relatives. On Google the Sharlot Hall Museum has the Dearing park history and an old ranch house picture from Arizona Highways. Also "Homesteading the Dearing ranch" is a recorded presentation by my grandfather, telling stories of his growing up, including shootings and Indian problems. You are probably tired by now of my going on and on. I'm watching your CZcams posts ow with interest.
We are Realtors but love the history of the place we call home. Thanks for sharing, our subscribers love hearing about old Prescott.
We just in Prescott last week. The old ranch house in Dearing Park is still standing, barely.
Its sad to see prescott turn into a little california
Far from Cali thankfully.
You don't have too pay for upkeep it's called fees
Yes but your fees do in turn pay for up keep. 😀
Did you read your contract? If you dont want HOA dont live there. Not rocket science.
Absolutely correct.
Went to the rodeo as a teenager over 50 years ago. My grandfather told me my great parents who were homesteading pioneers of Prescott used to own some of the land where the rodeo is now.
Wow love hearing stories about the history. It really has grown over the years as far as attendance etc. In fact it was really hard to even get tickets for this years rodeo due to how popular it has become. There has even been debate over moving the rodeo to a new location to allow for more room. Thanks for watching

Why can’t you swim in the Prescott lakes?
Usually due to algae blooms / bacteria levels and not being safe. Some years they are open and other years aren’t.
Hoa's have destroyed home ownership.
I tend to agree to an extent with you.
Restaurants are what retirees want. Junk food is pretty much all we have. Nearly 12 years and still waiting.
We have a ton of great restaurants and more coming on regularly. Make sure you check out Ciao Bella, El Gato Azul and Bear and Dragon. Thanks for watching.
I didn’t realize Prescott was dry desert, I thought it was in the mountains
It changes rapidly can go from high talks Pines to more granite outcroppings with scrub brush onto open fields. Thanks for watching
It’s a transitional area from pine forest to mixed to desert. Love it here.
What’s your thoughts on medical and hospitals? We currently live in the Tucson area 😏 in our 60s retired.
We personally have had all good experiences with local medical care. I do think we can use more options especially with the growth the area is experiencing. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Ciao Bella was once Grumpy Sicilian...not angry. 🙄
Thanks for the correction. Our kiddos always called it angry instead of grumpy I guess it just stuck haha
Agree with most of what you said. I spent my summers as a kid living with my grandparents on a ranch outside of Prescott. My great grandparents were original pioneers in Prescott. They moved there in the 1860 s. It was the Dearing ranch out past Thumb butte. I love Prescott. Visit at least once a year. My ancestors definitely have history in Prescott. I have friends from California ,who now live in Prescott.
You’re Prescott royalty! Thanks for the comment.
Don't forget about the Embry-Riddle Aeronatical Institute. And on Cortez street across from the courthouse is a great restaurant called MOB burger.
Thanks for the reminder about Embry Riddle. They are an awesome school!
Freedom is Priceless! Go, Prescott!
Absolutely!! Thanks for the great comment!!
I was there for a few days didn't like how unfriendly people were. I'm traveling in my van, people assume you're homeless and have no money lol I own a home ks and do have money and I'm debt free, so I'm worth more money then probably most of those judgmental people just saying😅😅😂
That’s sad to hear. We have so many friendly people here. Wish you had a better experience.
You are VERY much incorrect about there being one way in, and one way out……. What about skull Valley-Yarnell-Wickenburg to Phoenix route??????? Apparently you haven’t been that way, or you, wouldn’t be saying/telling people there’s only ONE way……. YOU obviously haven’t gone that way down to the valley. Just might want to reconsider;) before you say dumb shit like that😘
We have been that way several times. That being said it does not take you directly to Phoenix it takes you to Wickenburg. It’s very narrow and switch back so not a main route. Thanks for the feedback. Have a nice day
Forget about HOA,,😂😂😂,,,the Chinese Company that bought thousands of Acres will destroy All the ecology,,and All the Water will be polluted or worst😂gone,,,
Cons, ,the Chinese company that bought thousands of Acres and they will destroy the environment by mining ,,All the water will be gone or polluted,,
Don't forget to tell them about the Chinese company that bought thousands of Acres around Prescott city, and they are going to star mining and destroying the environment everywhere,,And the worst , polluting the water,,,mining takes Billions of Gallons of water ,,so take your own water when you move to Prescott,,,😂😂😂
Tell the about the Chinese company that will destroy Prescott AZ,,
Not for long, The Chinese company will destroy the city and All the beautiful mountains around it, only to take All the minerals the land has,,,,the Chinese company will need All the water from All the lakes and more, they'll be no more water soon😂😂😂
There is a public meeting in regard to the mining operation I believe you’re speaking of. Many are planning on attending. Also the local government has been pretty protective of the area so also hoping they step in too!
@@livinginprescott money talks,,but let's hope they don't do it,,that's where I ride my mountain bike,,
@@user-pd1bp2qn8x whole heartedly agree!
@@livinginprescott I really don't care about Bill Gates destroying the land,,my problem is the white old farts neighborhood watch Nosy SOB,,just because I'm not white they been harassing me ,,I even got kicked out with a trespassing warning from the police from sprouts on 69,,without any reason, just because I went inside the store to buy my favorite orange and cranberry muffins, that was it, even the police was surprised on the manager that wanted me to be trespass for no reason,,
Californian's go back now
It’s estimated that >10K Calis are moving here annually, not including WA, OR, TX, CO… The only people wanting them here are real estate agents & businesses. This town used to be so pristine (5-10 years ago) with no trash, homeless, hardly any traffic or crowds; totally different now. Can’t wait for the interest rates to go down somewhat so we can get the hell out of this “use to be nice” place!
A geriatric dystopia full of self centered conservative penny millionaires. Our short sighted , myopic counsel will alway lift its skirt to any rape and pillage developer. A tyrannical police force full of height challenged school yard bullies.
With out the racist old white farts?? No neighborhood watch???😂😂😂,Nosy M F,""'
Cons,,not enough hwys,,too many houses built too fast,,soon water will be gone,,just like the strawberry town,,
There are plans for two additional highway routes already approved. The water situation here is not dependent on the Colorado river unlike many other areas in the state and the growth is limited to 1.5% per year so that helps not blow up like crazy. Thanks for watching!
Cons,,,white racist Nosy old people,,neighborhood watch leader is on ex police officer, ,and if you wanna join it you need to be approved by him,,so if you're black or Hispanic, you better forget it,,
I’m curious about the quality and availability of healthcare in the area. I assume people travel to Phoenix for the specialists?
We personally haven’t had any issues with medical care. We continue to have more and more new medical facilities built so we hope that brings more options to the area. Thanks for watching.
Yes, my co-workers travel to Phoenix for specialists. My wife went to a Podiatrist here recently and didn't get the care she'd hoped for. It could be worse. When we lived in Durango, co-workers travelled to Denver or Phoenix to see specialists. Here it's a relatively easy drive.
I have nothing good to say about HOA's. Ours are governed mostly by snowbirds who don't live here year round. They site you for your flowers and plants trailing a bit over patio walls, and nit pick the people who care about the property and do nothing about the people who don't. They waste $80K a year on Landscape Terrorists who come and chop the shrubs to twigs and blow leaves EACH WEEK, and don't put their budgeted dollars in the places that need it. Fellow snowbird Board Members suggest a raise in the rates each year because they can, and this particular member will patrol the parking lot for residents without stickered cars. But come April-May, they skip town until next Oct-Nov-Geez that's great management. They are all on the take!!
We personally aren’t HOA fans either. Can’t stand them in fact. The big down side with the state as a whole is the love of the HOA model. Wish we had more options for newer communities without the nonsense HOA restrictions. Sorry you’re dealing with the nonsense of your HOA too. Never fun! Thanks for watching.
