I visited the pied shags reserve in Auckland, so excited finally photographed the pied shag chick ！
- opposite pammure basin is the famous volcano
- after walking for a few minutes, you will arrive te pied sgags sanctuary
- Auckland council pied shag protection plate
- there are two pied shags under the protection sign，they are very friendly and not afraid of people
- we were so lucky and found many pied shags nesting in the tree
- so spectacular, so many pied shags nesting in this big tree
- some are resting on the branches, and more pied shags are hatching eggs in their nests
- take a close-up of this adorable pied shag
- finally photographed the cute pied shag chick in the nest
- i was so excited not long after i turned on the camera and i photographed a cute little chick head emerging from the nest
-the chick screamed loudly, and I could hear it clearly even though it was more than 30 meters away from me
- the chick seems hungry
- there are about 20 pairs of pied shags living in here
- 50X focal length

- this pied shag has been here for a long time and is leaving soon
- this is female pied shag incubating eggs and she is asleep
- these female pied shags were also incubating eggs in her nest when the male came back, he didn't catch any fish either
- this is the first recorded birth of pied shag chick in 2024
