Honest answer: I have no idea because my trading style does not focus on that type of thing. The only fundamentals I ever even look at are P/E ratios, which are high for Tesla. Due to that ratio, and since Tesla does not pay dividends, I would not hold it long term unless I was getting cash flow with covered calls and cash-secured puts. I have seen more than one analyst say TSLA's projected price is $100, which is based solely on the charts. Other people I follow think the recent move up may have been due to a short squeeze, which is what I based my most recent trade on. I have done fairly well trading TSLA, and this year have pocketed a few hundred dollars after fees and commissions.

Based on recent charts, especially today, that $100 my no longer be the case if the previous structure is broken. Because you and a person I know in Arizona are holding TSLA, I am rooting for it to rally. I may be putting on some bullish trades if there is any kind of pullback and I am in a position to be able to do so.

An honest answer is that it all depends. You have to determine what your goals are and what level of attention you can focus. You also have to look at how much you want to spend. When I first started, I liked to look at stocks that paid dividends. I actually still do, especially in my retirement account. Also, I would say that beginners should void "meme" stocks. If you can, look at DOW 30 stocks because they are least likely to get completely wiped out. However, don't risk too much of your money on any one company. You can also look into trading indices if you have enough capital. There are a lot of stocks where I may trade for a short amount of time, like these wheel trades, where I am only in a trade for 1 week or less. No matter what you do, especially if you are buying stocks outright is use a stop loss. I know that a lot of people say to just hold on when a stock price falls because they will go back up, but it is much less stressful to get out and try something else. Also, learn to trade so you can make a profit no matter what direction something goes. That is another thing I like about options; there are many strategies to choose from so you can trade in any type of market. Anyway, I hoe you can be successful in your trades.
