As we mentioned in the video, we didn't even scratch the surface of the Cork food scene ;) We didn't know it was a Ford manufacturing plant-that's some great insider knowledge! @@originaltravelzplace called nua too is very good, it’s like next to poulet vouz. I usually get the skirt steak sandwich with baby potatoes, such a nice chimichurri!!

It's a great place to live in! Which are your favorite places for food and drink?

@originaltravelz during that I lived. Mostly on base. I was moving between Germany and America a few times. The first place we lived was in Kaiserslautern, then went back to the States. Then, he moved to Heidelberg, and from Heidelberg, we got station in Würzburg but ended up living on the German economy in Kitzingen. They gave us German housing a few minutes apart from other American families. We shared one two story duplex with one other family. Most of our neighbors were pretty sweet. We had an older couple that treated my brother like a grandchild. They had a little garden. We were also invited to hang out with another family. Their kids knew English. And we had german/English vocab books. I loved being able to wonder around to the very old areas of the neighborhood. I miss it.

I was a middle schooler, so I wasn't really able to take myself places

Probably you know how it is in craft beer - there's always smth new to try but sometimes nothing floats you boat, happens to us too 😅 We would recommend Arpus, Northern Monk or Cohones next time for you to try 🍻

Underdog is by far the best craft beer bar in Dublin!

There are a few really good bars not far from Mulligans grocer in the Smithfield area - The Cobblestone is probably the best bar for hearing live traditional/folk music in Dublin, Bonobo is near there too it's smiliarish to Kodiak. Fidelity is another good craft beer spot around there, its styled like a cocktail bar (and does cocktails) so its a bit classier looking than most, Frank Ryans across the road from it is a cool bar too if you like really dark bars.

Switzerland has an interesting craft beer scene nowadays. Actually an interesting fact is that Switzerland has the most beer breweries per capita in the world. It is an awesome place indeed, no wonder it's so popular. This video was filmed the first weekend of March 2024 so I guess we can say there is no off-season for Lisbon 😅 But we strongly suspect it would be calmer on working days. It was also much better on the rainy day which was Saturday for us - we didn't have to wait at all to visit the Carmo Convent because everyone else was hiding from the rain. But please take shoes that are safe for slippery surfaces - the city has a lot of steep streets with slippery tiles, and even the locals told us it's usual for people to fall unexpectedly 😅
