That's an impressive cone given the major/minor diameters! It would be nice to see the results of the plate alignment at the seam after the rolling operation. After all, this is a critical aspect that the viewers are not able to view. What further processing was required before welding can be performed? What is the plate thickness / plate major diameter / plate minor diameter / plate material (A-36?) / Hot roll or P&O / Cone slope (60 degrees?) / Machine Model / Top roll diameter? Thank you for clarifying the details as we try to assimilate what our eyes are seeing.

In the case of a thin plate, how do we adjust the clearance at the ends of the plate, with more pressure on the central roller?
Yes.... Higher pinch pressure will deflect the rolls more creating a more even pinch. If you use too much pressure for what the plate can handle the results will be a wave or ripple across the plate. If this happens you either need to shim with some other material take up the space or change the camber on the roll. Changing camber on the roll only makes sense if it's a job you are doing often.
