Put a little bit of oil in each cylinder
Engine was sunk, but they didn’t do anything to it for a while. Crankshaft bearings are shot. Not worth for us to repair. 🙂

Can you explain clearly on how timing works
Timing is basically the synchronised motion of the crankshaft and the camshaft(s) and for gasoline engines also the timing of a spark at the right time. Some engines use a belt ( like this one here) some use a chain or regulars gears only.
Can it be starteed without been the propeler în water?
Would not advice to run it without water. It will burn the impeller
How is the tool called to pull the flying wheel ? And which diameter is needed for this puller?
Its a pulley puller/ flywheel puller set. For This engine i used the set that can go from 35mm to 95mm

For sure, if you put that in a diesel 😅 this was water. Even better 🙂
@@Marinepartsystem hidrolock? A class friend's truck got hydrolocked because a broken diesel injector, we tried to start it by pushing it and the 4th cylinder connecting rod ended like an L
@@Wasketa engine was not locked up. It’s a marine engine. Probably the air vent valve was broken, so it sucked water in. So it had water to compress, wich it will not ofcourse 🙂

No way grease will make to the top of the piston and all water cooling canals. Iam not an idiot
Ofcourse not, but they put it there. Between headgaskets and everything 😅 I have no idea what their thoughts were to be honest.
@@Marinepartsystem you said "this is what happen when you use grease instead of oil". NOBODY puts oil between headgasket and a block/head. And if they use the grease, and start the engine, you will never find it this way like you try to tell us. Why am I even writing something. Its just bullshit.

Doesn't the tape make it wobbly?
The tape makes a slight wobble because it’s not 100% even. It’s a fast way to test for a clear sign of bent valves. But it’s pretty clear wich one is bent and wich one is not. Clearly the last is bent! Thanks for your comment!

100% not a HTE. A HTE has a turbocharger and intercooler. This is just a regular 54hp 4JH3.
That’s right, though the plate of the engine said HTE. We are not sure why 🙂

We know! Thanks! It’s a informational video. We replaced them and everything is running fine again. Engine mounts should be replaced every 5-7 years, these were the original that came with the boat and engine. About 20 years. So the time was due!
