First heard this in local hmv & was captivated immediately

Reminds me of Glassworks by Philip Glass
Tremendous! Thank you!
This song expands my heart! Thank You!
What a trance?!! And those few bass notes felt like a warm blanket.
I'm so deeply happy to have discovered your work last month. I've bought four of your Masterpieces Album straight away. Love from Strasbourg, in France. Carole
You amaze me.
Every time I watch this video I feel like I'm on a tram in a strange city because of the partitions in the music studio 🙂
I love your music Portico Quartet..its AWESOME. I'd like to see more emotion in your videos though! You look like robots. Look at Mat Metheny or E.S.T when they play...
Severa música
Love this soundscape !!
bird music
I'm guessing the three hang drums togeher make a chromatic scale possible...?
J'adore , ils sont vraiment très fort
Extraordinario
Really gives some philip glass-ish vibes 🎹🎷
That drumming precision is unbelievable...
Magnifique
love
wesh t'as vu c'est trop cool !
This is still one of the best pieces of Music I ever heard and that's why I need to come back here every so often...
merveilleux 🏹💛 merci infiniment pour ce voyage
gratitude. thank you for this wonderful travel 💛
Portico have imagined jazz for the 21st century without breaking a sweat. I also love that every album is different - that takes some guts. These beautiful tunes helped inspire me to try a little jazz composition myself. If you find a moment, please have a listen and let me know what you think: czcams.com/video/AQQGYw6qpHw/video.html
Sounds a bit like the third ear band! czcams.com/video/7oI2-S7W55A/video.html
Magical build Up ... more Bass - Ace xXx
nice
RIP Portico Quartet
¿Porqué?
They are a group of 4 again now
I'd just like to say, the entire song, hang and drums included, is in 3/4. the leading instrument in the drums is the snare, and the first snare hit of each set of doubles is the beat; that said, the first bit of the song is the sloppy part, where he is unintentionally going to fast for the hang, and he slows it down throughout the second half.
how do you know whether it was unintentional or not? Did you write it?
I know because it is not played this way in other versions of the song.
that doesn't surely preclude his decision to play in otherwise consciously ? I'm just not convinced a player of his calibre would make such mistakes
He speeds up in the album, too. The rhythmic dissonance may actually be one of the main things I love about this track.
All right
Hi there! If you like Bruno Martino you should definitely check out this awesome girl singing Estate! I really think she's cool! czcams.com/video/1curlvtETDk/video.html
Super!
Love it, thanking you.....
Something about this song really resonates with me. Like I've heard it before somewhere? It sounds so familiar...Like I heard it in another language? In another lifetime?
maybe it reminds you of Bonobo - Pieces (she was the singer there as well)
reminds me of listening to the old jazz band oreg0n back in the 70s with ralph towner
have fallon
cool!
