Underestimating the Mets as usual all season. The real situation though is the DBacks are in no way “cruising” to those wins they have a brutal month and they are not putting up 13 wins and if they only put up 12 the Mets only need 14 because they own the tie breaker

As a cubs fan we need a superstar player that can be a 5 tool player like PCA who is showing flashes at this current moment but we really need a stronger bullpen alongside a third baseman who can hit as well. Likewise we need move on from Hendricks and Wisdom now if they’re actually serious about contending this year and onwards

For the Orioles, as they get Rodriguez, Columbe, and hopefully Westberg back, they should start rollin again. If they do take 2 outta three from the yanks, they take the season series, even if they only win one, still take the season series which will help in a tie breaker situation.

Yanks and O's have been playing near .500 ball since July 1st with the Yankees having a slightly better record. The O's currently have a 1/2 game lead. I expect both teams to continue at this .500 pace till they meet in NY near the end of the month to determine the winner of the division. As an O's fan I still think the Yanks pull it off and win the division, O's are first wildcard team in. Too many injuries to the Orioles to make a run in '24. Still waiting on Westburg, Rodriguez, Coloumbe, and Mounty to make it back on the field.
