The giant dagger that falls into the Star Fissure was originally intended to be a real prop but was later made with CG. The prop was actually made and was created by M5 Industries, specifically by Adam Savage.

Serenia treats the soul (memories) and body as seperate entities, in which case it is perfectly feasible for Sirrus to assume that he wouldnt die if he planted his own memories in Yeesha.

His original speech is the best and feels the most warm and natural. I wish they didn't record it for later releases.

I LOVED this concept but my computer at the time was slow and I could never get the timing carrying the bubble. I was either too fast or too slow. Unfortunately I was never able to finish the damn game because of this.

He looks like he has fear based from his confusion that you would choose to deny using it; like he feels those two things together which must mean something to him different than anything youd intend. Both feelings would be in their own yet bound as well making his vision set to a way where he would inevitably make a choice down the road... as we see when he shoots you the 3rd time you appear Even then, giving you another chance. His fear and confusion speak to what he would do evident by what he has done to Atrus, trapping and trying to kill him. Commonly mistaken by control in similar characterized stories, it seems the only way; I would hope this leaves confusion in the reader as it has myself writing it to take a moment and reflect how you feel may be similar to how Ghen feels only with life and death hanging in the balance. His fear and confusion of which Atrus would choose to betray him like he has in the past where it seems Atrus.. would only choose one thing. Just like his father. Except its only through this vision which it appears to be so. The kind of reason that would urge someone to take action beyond any intervention of the other.

Even doing it this way and having the water stopped from earlier puzzles in the game, I’ve never been able to get the secret door to open. Even when the bathyscaph is full of water and risen out of the well…not sure why though.

The original game is so much better than the unrealistic looking remake.

This ending might be impossible in the remake. I didn't try very hard, but it seems the game only allows you to go to Tay one time.

I could just fall gehn by conventional means but nooo...they have to swindle their police and military thumbs through my whole game.

This guy talks so smoothly. You KNOW he’s the enemy, but his attitude really does make you doubt Atrus for a few fleeting moments. It’s absolutely incredible.

I would almost prefer just an AI upscaled version of this video play as the intro to the Riven remake coming out, than a 3D rendered model doing the acting.

I hate that this ending even exists. You get a very short amount of time to make a decision, and it gives away the correct one.

I always loved that little detail where Catherine destroys the wires from the elevator just to make sure you don't go back upstairs and explore her room. They could've easily just made it so the elevator just inexplicably stopped working, but they thought ahead and added that in. Makes me wonder if the remake will let you be able to enter that place without her.

I got this ending completely by accident (I wasn’t able to read Catherine’s handwriting on the blurry monitor so I didn’t know that the star fissure was under that thing). It freaked me the hell out

I always wondered at what speed the myst book hit the ground at. Pretty sure books can survive a higher fall then a person can. But nah, I'm sure the player was fine. Right Atrus? Right??

I believe the reason Riven sounds so different is because the books were of low quality and/or destabilizing.

I remember seeing Catherine when I was a young lad and thinking that’s the most beautiful woman in the world. I wasn’t wrong.
