Man who terrorised neighbours while dressed in Spiderman mask jailed
The man in the video is Liam Bain.
Over the past decade he made the lives of his neighbours in Longton - aged in their 60,70s and 80s - a living hell.
This behaviour included but was not limited to:
• Walking past their houses wearing a Spiderman mask or balaclava in an intimidatory manner
• Spitting when they walked past his house
• Shouting at the one of the male victims as he went to work
• Staring at a male victim while either flexing his muscles or shadow boxing
• Harassing workmen working at two of the victims’ property and offering them arm wrestles or a fight
• Spraying one of the female victim’s cars with a jet wash while she was driving past to make her think she had hit something. Once she got out of the car to check, Bain then soaked her and shouted abuse at her
• Kicking a football at their houses in an effort to intimidate them
• Makes V-signs at their family members when they come to visit, and followed the family members back to their homes
• Beeping his horn when he saw them in the street, flashing his headlights and staring at them
• Shining a laser pen at one of the female victim’s while she was driving, causing her to swerve
• Using his leaf blowers in the early hours of the morning.
• Playing loud music from his van at 4am outside victims homes
• Saying to one of his victims: “You lot can't do anything about it, I will still be here when all of you are dead.”
Bain, from Leyland, pleaded guilty to five counts of harassment and was jailed for 18 weeks when he appeared before a judge at Preston Crown Court on Monday 10/06/2024. Bain was also issued with a restraining order, banning him from entering the streets where the offences took place or contacting his victims directly or indirectly for the next five years.

this man is a horrible, horrible, monstrous fool
A lot of people forget about the roof . The roof is usually just nailed on. I learned the hard way cause a would be thief removed my shed roof to look inside to see if I had anything worth stealing . The roof was opened just enough to see inside and not completely removed . After I bought some long 8 mm coach bolts and drilled and fixed the roof to the sides . Also I had a van type lock fitted which is made of strong metal. I caught the thief before he could break in but looking at the lock after it would have taken another hour to enter my shed . After this experience I fitted 2 van locks at the top and middle .and a strong hasp and lock at the bottom . I also fitted a door bar . I fitted a piece of one inch thick pink on the a actual door so it coved the opening gap when closed . This was also bolted not screwed . I then fixed another plank on the shed itself which was butted up against the one fixed to door . This made it harder to prise the door open .

Catching killers these days is a cake walk. What with forensics ,DNA, cctv , mobile phone data . they have next to zero chance of avoiding justice . In this case there was an overload of incriminating evidence. The video didn't cover the autopsy, I expect it revealed multiple blows destroying the defence of an accident. The only mystery in this case is how he ever thought he could get away with it!

A very sad & unimaginable tragedy, my heart goes out to her family and friends. This was a very well put together documentary & a commendable job by the investigation team. A prayer for Katie's beautiful soul to forever rest in eternal peace and may her family & friends find peace knowing that no one can bring harm to Katie anymore.
