    Get it in writing. Researching analog synthesizers brought me here. It's such a shame to know the musicians who created the songs you grew up listenning to were not of the greatest integrity. Stevie Wonder ripped this guy off and he knew he did. They had a verbal agreement which Stevland Morris did not honor. Stevie Wonder had his cohorts stole everything they created together in the form of the masters. They even sued him and lost. There are very few musicians who did not take advantage of their "help". From Stevie Wonder, Prince, Cameo and Larry Blackmon. To Raphael Sadiqq and others. They do not want to share the royalties. Hubert Eves left Mtume and produced D Train. He got paid. George Clinton ripped Bernie Worrell off to the point George had to get Thomas Dolby to work on later albums. Bernie had enough of getting paid in drugs. Without Lisa Coleman there is no Prince and the Revolution. What's sad about them is they knew they were "employees" and not equal members of any group. GET IT IN WRITING. Ray Parker Jr was ripped off for "You Make Me Feel Like Dancin". If you don't get in on the front end in writing don't look for it on the back end Not in writing, it won't happen. The only person i read who encouraged artist to write in order to receive royalties was Patrick Adams. He did so risking his work being cut. The publishers did not want him to share the knowledge of the "music business". Stevie Wonder isn't such the genious we thought. Malcolm not only helped Stevie, he also co produced with Mini Ripperton, The Isley Bro "The Heat Is On" album. Gil Scott Heron and Quincy Jones just to name a few.

    • @scarakus
      @scarakus Před 8 lety

      No, you can do more, faster & easier. Their are no presets for this guy, it would take him days just to cipher one setup onto paper, and it still wouldn't be the same, but on the other hand in some aspect, that's a good thing, because that's how you discover new things, instead of getting stuck in a rut, with the same ole sound.

      @NeverTalkToCops1 Před 8 lety

      +Jamen Rivera Genius? A bunch of off the shelf modules (I don't think this guy designed any of this) lashed together is genius? Stevie Wonder, who allegedly used a Tonto rig on "Living for the City" - that is possibly a genius. Mozart, Bach, genius. Taylor Swift and J. Bieber - NOT genius, but they don't need to be, they provide musical fun for young women at shopping malls grossing each other out.

    • @jamenrivera7546
      @jamenrivera7546 Před 8 lety

      +NeverTalkToCops1 you seem frustrated with your current position in life and music. I was merely appreciating this mans talent and appreciation for synthesis. and why are you dissing on taylor swift and Justin bieber? why not appreciate all walks of music? and young women at shopping malls? I have learned to like all kinds of music if it feels good. I feel it is necessary to notice the positivity in all aspects of music.
