@@toadette-iad6493 I noticed that these credit the moominhunt drive for the subs and so I must ask, do you have the subs for every episode? I'd absolutely love to get my hands on those for editing and timing.
@@FortuneStar97Only episodes 2 and 4 were derived (and in episode 4's case heavily revised) from the Moominhunt Drive subtitles (only 1 to 4 were done while that still existed, as far as I know, and those are the ones that have been on CZcams for ages). Episodes 38 and 52 were also based on Solyanka Destroyer's pre-existing subtitles on CZcams (albeit heavily revised as well). All the other episodes on this channel, and in the link I gave you earlier, are original translations done by me and some friends and acquaintances in 2022. If you want to try making your own subtitles for the episodes we didn't do, I uploaded those raw files here (1 and 3 already have subtitles from the Moominhunt Drive on CZcams, and I know there used to be an upload with subtitles for episode 26 but it was made private): mega.nz/folder/9R5xgbxC#TcjjyPhb6ZbitycDze9dew

Oji-san (おじさん) typically means uncle, but it's also a way of referring to an older man who isn't part of the family (as Frederickson is). In this case, Moomin always refers to Frederickson as "oji-san", hence "gramps".

this may sound like a bad question, but why are all of the 'Hold your hats' on youtube in worse quality comparing to the other Bears episodes? is that a mistake in the original airing or something..?
The Czech National Film Archive, for some reason, never uploaded an HD transfer of its own archival print of "Hold Your Hat" the way it did for the other five entries in the first Bears series. The only way to find a decent copy of Hold Your Hat would be to seek out the very old Japanese DVD release (from the early 2000s) that has it.

12:38 there is a small mistake i think, yes, Truhlík means box for the flowers near the window, but it also has a second meaning how someone is Truhlík - which means someone is Playful and just little Playful happy kid. Just wanted to explain it a bit as a Czech.
