I finally had a free Tuesday without a Scout meeting and was able to join the Sixes Pit Taco Tuesday group ride. It was a blast. Pretty close to a Full Pull. I cut out most of the climbing, but left a little to show you what it was like. Lots of "Bang for your buck" on this trail. Ride through of the trails at Hamilton Creek Recreation area near Nashville Tenn. The park has a lot to offer in terms of activities as well as a bmx track. This ride is located at Paris Mountain State Park near Greenville S.C. This park has a lot to offer, from 17 miles of hiking and biking trails, lakes for fishing and swimming, as well as camping sites for tent and RV's. The park was very clean with well marked trails. Great video! I rode Avalanche yesterday because blankets were closed due to a dirty 30 race. I always ride South Loop and van Michael, making all the features, and Avalanche was still challenging for me.

this park is fire one of the best that ive been to so far, i did turtle back, red baron, mambo jumbo, the connectors between them, rusty bucket and some side trails. will come back for the others definitely. Tho where i started was at whipper snapper, that part is crazy. I had to pause on several jumps and drops, tho I am riding on marlin 6 which is a xc bike. i just have to gain more skill. Overall tho tho this place is very amusing and fun to ride on. rust bucket is also cool but short. Will come back to experience everything else. #rosegoldltd

Thanks. Been busy with life stuff and I gave up all my contacts that allowed me to travel so I could be home with the family more. I have missed making videos and I think I may start back soon and probably only every other week or so.
Sorry, but you asked for advice right before that pedal grab. I noticed that you have flat pedals. Going clipless would give you more control to maneuver your bike around things. Plus more power to boot. Great video by the way!
Thanks for the suggestion. I unfortunately can not ride clipless. I have tried them in the past, but since my left ankle has a plate and 9 screws in it, I have a hard time getting my left foot unclipped. For some reason, my ankle just doesn't turn that way, and when it does, its pretty painful.
@@clintbrownlee939 Sorry about that. You mentioned the accident that put you out of mountain biking for a long while. I hadn’t considered that could have some bearing on that. It’s great that you pushed through to do what you enjoy again. May the Lord bless you in all that you do! 👍

I have had to take a bit of a break. Lots going on at home and I stopped traveling so much to photograph events. I may start back, but I don't think I can do weekly videos. It's a lot of work in post production. I'm also a mixed media artist/painter and have been working on a large series of paintings that I have been dedicating a lot of time to. Hope to have the series finished and a show in a few months. Thanks for asking. Nice to people out there still watch these vids.

How are the trails recently? I mountain biked there a lot, but it has been raining constantly and winds and tornados. I would be surprised if the park is still in one piece because the last time I was there, trees were down everywhere.

good to see you up and riding again! What days do you like riding Blankets? Ive been there a few times but never with my full suspension bike.
I have been mountain biking for about 2 years now (XC for weightloss and fun) and really dig Tanglewood. While trails like Hobby Park are too aerobically challenging for me, Tanglewood is perfect with its short climbs and multiple trails. The beginner trail is my favorite, as I am still struggling with fitness. I often find myself taking the horse trail to the soccer field and taking a few laps out in the sun. Great vid!

Funny story; I ran into Andre 3000 at the Olde Rope Mill trails maybe about year and a half ago and he told me that he still considers his Southside Park his home trail system even though he's lived in Sandy Springs for almost 30 years :)

Chris, thanks for the compliment on my video. I am currently using the Hero 9 so my settings will probably be a little different than what they would be on the 11. I do recommend that you use the Lens Mod and the Media Mod. The lens mod gives a wider field of view and when the digital stabilization does its magic, it crops less of the frame and gives a more "normal" view. Without the lens mod, the "normal" view is cropped in to allow for stabilization so you do not get as much in frame. I like the media mod because of the microphone. It gives great sound, has a wind muffler, and has options to power the camera with an external power supply for longer recording times. Here is a link to the "Loam Ranger" youtube channel. Better to play it safe! I started to really get more careful as I don't want to get injured again. Healing takes longer than it used to ....

Awesome video! We just spent the day here last weekend. How do you setup your stabilization? Video looks great.
I use a GoPro hero 9 with the max lens mod on a chest rig. The stabilization is all digital via the GoPro settings.

For the POV footage, I use a GoPro on a chest mount.
Nice change to your content Clint. One thing I have learned about cornering is to lean the bike not my body. It is difficult to remember sometimes but it definitely helps to take corners, especially bermed corners. Keep riding my friend. I am sure I will be able to ride with you again real soon.

I live up the street from this place. And at least I’m not the only one walking up those dumb hills on foot, always kicking my ass as im not exactly that great of shape hahaha. And yes the dirt is different in southern ca. I think it’s maxxis that actually makes a tire specifically for Southern California dirt that’s hard packed with slippery layer on top. Forget the name tho.

I have yet to ride Blankets Creek but looking at your footage I don't know if I would have picked any lines different. I tend to scan the trails constantly and make adjustment as deemed needed for the best path based on the current conditions, as we all know, those change daily. Thanks for sharing
Very cool. like the new content. I would never tell another rider how to ride, but I can suggest something that really helped me. I have and still put tons of time into cornering. U would not believe the amount of skills involved in cornering. Maybe it’s a FL thing. Free speed is at a premium here. So holding that speed is crucial. I find it really helps me in GA when I ride. Especially unsupported turns. 🤙🏻
