TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING THIS METHOD....... For the ones that dont like to read. It DOESN'T work.. Yes it will heat up 6 gallons of water up to 125 degrees at a time. However, with a decent pump, the water being pumped into the pool turns back cold in about 30-45 seconds. The heater does not heat fast enough to make a difference after that. The only option is to empty the hot 6 gallons and immediately turn off the pump for about 30 minutes until it heats back up. But who wants to or has time to go out to the pool every 30 minutes. And really by the time that 30 minutes pass the hot water you originally put in has probably already cooled itself off because I attempted that for about 24 hours with no changes. I have an 18 foot pool. Maybe if you have a really litte pool you could tell a slight difference but even then i cant see how you could. So i wouldn't waste the $250. Use that money to run 220 and get an actual pool heater. Also, ill probably never look at this again for anyone who may have questions. This is just my experience and thoughts.
