Loved this battle! Such an awesome soundtrack. My only complaint is that it was way too easy. He barely hits you.

CZcamsrs that upload soundtracks that aren’t on Spotify are lifesavers!
This may be the most genius design for boss music I’ve heard.
Gowr was my first gow game to start with a considering I’m mostly a Nintendo fan DAME this hits hard those drums are so good
You need to catch up with the OG games
*SLOW DOWN*
As much as I love Gow 2018 and Ragnarok, and Rag is actually my fav game in the series even tho Ive been a big fan of the series since the ogs, but if there is one thing that I hate about the ragnarok and the old games does miles better , is the music, by far Ragnarok has the worst collection of soundtracks in the series, which Is ironic considering it's my favorite one but goddamn does it really hurt me when everytime a boss fight comes up, and I'm hear aching for something good to kick in, I start hearing the same repetitive and generic combat soundtracks that every assassin's creed has, my first disappointment was when I heard Gow ragnarok theme before it came out and I thought it was a joke because it sounded litteraly like a copy pasted version of Gow 2018 theme. Thor Theme was relatively the only good soundtrack that I've heard so far and I'm yet to finish the game but something tells me Odins theme will be like every generic Gow 2018 combat soundtrack, I'll edit this comment if Im wrong
Edite, porque vc esta errado
#Creepiest_pfp_on_the_internet 😂😂 But anyways thank you for giving us this unreleased track. You’re a true god.❤
"Now, whatcha got?" *cut to heimdall getting his face bashed in and choked to death*
0:21 I like how also baldur’s sound track is included in this and magni modi theme is also included I like how they created my game
8:57 - 9:35 love it, so haunting
Where did Heimdall's soul go?
Nowhere. Gods don’t go to any afterlife, they just vanish. That’s why Odin was so set on discovering the secret beyond Ragnorak; he wanted to know the truth of where gods go when they die, if anywhere.
@@JamesTAdamsthe souls of gods ascend to a higher realm of existence like Athena’s in the original games
@@Tarnishedgrimm _Some_ gods do that. Most just disappear; that’s why Odin was so deadset on finding a way to avert Ragnorak. He didn’t know what came next for gods after death, so he resolved to find out no matter the cost.

same it hits smothly
You can almost see Heimdall dodging to the beat as Kratos attacks.
0:53 Just discovered Baldur's theme plays here
Damn i miss Baldur
@@tentaclesxd3074 Me, too! Baldur was much more mysterious and seemed much more dangerous in the beginning, because we didn't know the reason why he came to us and he couldn't be defeated. I kind of got scared of the mysterious other gods, like Thor and Odin, because we didn't get to see them, but we heard stories about them and understood that they were even stronger than Baldur. I have no hate for Odin or Thor, but they had so much potential to come off as much more menacing, and not like a broken drunk and an old man desperately trying to control his own destiny, so to speak. But speaking of Heimdall... I don't know which I like more, Baldur or Heimdall.
Between Magni & Modi to Heimdall, I've started referring to this type of beat as simply "The Aesir Theme"
4:06 no more for the sake of our children we must be better
I dont if we were breaking fate, or fate is breaking us
so is the first part supposed to be gulltoper
“What’s going on in that empty head*
I'm not a musician, but, it is just my ears, or his theme has little snipets and notes of baldur's final boss battle music sprincled all over the song, may be just my imagination. THE FOLLOWING MAY BE A SPOILER: It wold make sense, since Bauldur and Heimdall are the only two norse (MAIN) gods that Kratos directly Kills.
Magni?
Heimdall is so annoyingly attractive
3:04
I think that the progression of this theme is the most genius thing I've ever heard: In phase 1, the music has a steady tempo, rhythm, and melody. Reflecting that Heimdalls arrogance and confidence is at its highest. When phase 2 starts, the theme still mirrors phase 1: Calm and collected. But, ot has one key difference. The closer Kratos gets to landing that first strike, the more intense the music becomes, with other instruments becoming more audible. 5:50 is when Kratos finally lands thst hit. And the music abruptly cuts. Showing Heimdalls complete and utter shock to the fact that he was actually STRUCK. At 5:57, the music explodes, showing that Heimdall is going all out. Its intensity booms, reflecting his confidence exploding before him and leaving him in shambles. Phase 3 is my favourite because it perfectly represents Heimdall snapping completely. The music struggles to stick to a main melody, representing heimdall struggling to keep himself together. It's strings play wildly, representing the flurry of attacks he throws at Kratos, just mindlessly attacking. Yeah, that's all I've got Tl;Dr, the music's progression represents heimdalls confidence shattering
The only God in the Norse saga to give Kratos a run for his Money
Thor is Greek apparently
Awesome clip!

Heimdall- You expected the stick to give you an advantage?
For those who might be wondering why this theme is so similar to Magni and Modi's theme, I have a theory. This is the theme of the Lesser Aesir. Those who are Aesir gods, but are not as strong as Odin, Thor, or Baldur. Basically as Sif described. Brittle knives to be thrown into the face of a mountain. The reason this theme is not exactly the same as Magni and Modi is because Heimdall was of more use to Odin than the sons of Thor, but still not as useful as Thor or Baldur to be considered anything other than a Lesser Aesir
I think Heimdall is not a lesser aesir. He is one of the most powerful. He is up there with Baldur and Thor. Thor could beat him with his AOE but with Baldur it would be an endless battle. He can destroy anyone other than them and Odin easily.
@allah-a2353 Actually, I have even more reason to think Heimdall is of the lesser Aesir. Remember what Kratos said. "I have killed gods greater than him." Kratos also said during the fight, "the spear remains our best chance," meaning he had another idea in mind. The only thing remotely worrisome about Heimdall was his foresight and bifrost abilities. But think of it like this. Without his foresight ability, would Heimdall have lasted this long? Definitely not. And this is proven during the fight with Kratos. Being hit for the first time in his life, just ONCE, was enough for his powers of foresight to become completely useless. Being hit made him so angry that he actually LOST his foresight during the fight because he couldn't concentrate. This is evident by the fact that after the punch, Kratos can successfully hit him with any weapons. He doesn't even know how to use his sword properly, or how to use the horn to attack. TLDR Heimdall has no combat experience, is nothing without his foresight or the tools given to him, and was honestly one of the easiest boss fights in the game. He put up less of a challenge than Magni and Modi did, and those two were confirmed lesser Aesir. Also, if Kratos confirms there are gods fsr greater than Heimdall, Heimdall is lesser in comparison
@@z_Blitzy_zhe still has the foresight after you hit him. He gets sloppy with it due to shock. If you don’t hit him for a while he will start to dodge the punches again im pretty sure. Also he is the son of Odin so there is already no way he is lesser Aesir. In game difficulty doesn’t translate into lore power. Thor was really easy too. He destroys anyone that isnt Thor or Odin and stalemates Baldur if his curse isn’t broken, otherwise he stomps Baldur too. Essentially you are saying his powers are what make him fearsome… yeah thats what makes them all fearsome?? Take away Thor’s lightning powers and he gets stomped, take away Baldurs invulnerability and he gets stomped. Thats how gods work. There are no other options to beat Heimdall, the spear was specifically made to defeat him. The reason why Kratos says “the spear remains our best chance” is because he can’t hit him even after the spear stuns him, and Mimir questions their strategy so Kratos responds with that because hes saying doesn’t matter that it didn’t work the first time we gotta keep trying as its the best chance we are gonna get at beating him. There is literally nothing else Kratos could have done without the spear. Heimdall’s death has a huge impact on the realms, Magni and Modi’s death is irrelevant. Edit: Oh and the fact that he doesn’t really know how to fight proves he is really powerful not the opposite, because it means he is so OP he never even has to try when he fights, he even says in the fight with him that he doesn’t remember when he last had to use his sword, probably because either everyone is too scared to fight him or because he can just clap anyone easily. Which he can. His powers are incredibly overpowered, Heimdall represents talent/ability without training. If Heimdall took time to learn how to fight he would be impossible to beat.
@@z_Blitzy_z "TLDR Heimdall has no combat experience" Yes he does, fought in the Vanir war, Heimdall is very powerful he just arrogant. Thats the main reason he lost, if he controlled his ablites hes one of the most powerful Aesir, he had great potential but wasted it. He is not lesser, by a LONG shot.
@thomasalvarez6456 Magni and Modi also fought in the Aesir Vanir war and were still considered lesser Aesir. Also, he never did use his potential. Thus, he failed to be anything more than a watchdog for Odin
They removed the trolls from this game because they figured Heimdall was the only one they needed
