After a Weapon Slot was equipped it will always be active until the game is closed. So you can either unequip a weapon or load into a different safe without all weaponslots filled and have an empty active weapon slot. When attacking with an empty weapon, the current attack gets immediately canceled, though only Scythe and Sword have a hitbox early in their animation. There are also a few skills that you can cancel by dashing in a benefitting way, though I haven't played the game in a long time and don't know all the details anymore.

The full release version has an autosplitter that works for all patches outside the very first few that got build with debug mode. There is no reason for these to be played and no one bothered to make one for these. For the original game jam versions the autosplitter doesn't work either though, as the stuff the splitter uses only got added on release. Also it's build with debug mode too and may need to be made as a component because the bootstrapper and the game itself have the same name... and the .asl gets confused by that. So if you want to look into a project just to do something, working on the game jam autosplitter could be cool... though like no one plays these versions anymore.

Unrestricted is the glitch categorization. Unrestricted meaning everything is allowed. There have been new finds since my run, though I currently don't plan to return, so check out tammikis runs on twitch, though I think they also are taking a break. twitch.tv/videos/2051403039 And no, this is from a new game, and while the glitchless way of getting the world flower ending requires to also beat the new game+ story, I used out of bounds to skip that.

Also, I died once while out of bounds. The death screen can apparently glitch and not go away even when you respawn and it persists through loading screens. Dying again will get rid of it.

At the start of Vanessa 1 and Vanessa 2, I get a timeslow glitch by canceling a thunder charge right before floating mana would fill the charge. Future runs will likely use fully different strats as we found normal fire shots dealing significantly more damage than anything else, as well as a way to skip seal 1 and still exit the seal 2 fight. There is also a theoretical way for runs that are done in first trial to skip seal fully by flying out of the vanessa 2 arena and dropping straight onto nonota.

@@michaelk__ There's now a version 1.1.1 and one of the patch notes is "Fixed an issue in Trial Tower mode where Nonota's infinite acceleration state." Is this the glitch used?

@superman28607 I do not know what they meant. Though some of the bosses had an issue with not getting properly reset when you go for a refight, which might be related? Though I am unsure.

Rittz, the dev, is very supportive of the modding scene. The modding scene so far is mostly onto alternate characters and outfits afaik, but it very much started with loading test levels people had already.

You can only do the midair backflip after getting sunsetter. I do struggle with using it naturally still, but at least for that timestamp, that option was not available.

oh yeah makes sense, my bad i just finished the game and clocked in over 5 hours and got stuck once for 30 minutes and after that it all felt super natural, this games movement is so good it feels like second nature

Considering i have suspcions of the origin of Sybils model. It probably isnt just the game thats been wide open.

You need to have an empty weapon slot that previously had a weapon. Then attack with either a sword or scythe, "attack" with the empty weapon, and attack again with your actual weapon. You can just keep on repeating this. With swords you can go as fast as humanly possible, with scythe you need to wait slightly between these attack cancels.

On patches released before August 1st, you could activate a Moonjump by pressing both crouch and jump on the same frame during the turnaround skid animation. Once activated, you get infinite jumps as long you are moving while jumping.

The version on steam has been greatly expanded compared to the original game jam release on itch.io.

All the assets are created by the developer rittz as far as I know. N64 assets would be hard to use in modern engines anyway as far as I understand.

The original game jam version was out for about 4 months on itch.io. The version that was just released is an extended version with more content, an actual semblance of story, and a lot of redesigns to areas already existing.

When you air kick, you have a hitbox around Sybils leg. When that hitbox hits a wall, you do one of 2 types of walljumps: - if you are facing almost head-on to the wall, you do a straight, high, but short distance jump. - at any other angle, you bounce off the wall at the same angle as you were when you hit the wall... just to the other side.
