Wuben T4 flashlight review. 850 lumens, 401m or throw. Drone video and drone beamshots.
Hi guys, I’m back doing reviews. Thank you so much for watching. If you’re new to my channel please subscribe, it helps me out a ton and motivates me to make more videos. I bought this from amazon a.co/d/cadRnFl, you can also buy it from wuben directly www.wubenlight.com/products/wuben-t4-tactical-flashlight?currency=USD&variant=45819129430256&Google%20Shopping&stkn=2838965bf490&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3tCyBhDBARIsAEY0XNn6v0SqCqFEvbmF8jLFakVEAapNLDn3s6lZ6ogqScPuroNo38zI4aMaAu_MEALw_wcB. A couple things I forgot to mention in my review is that this light supports cr123 batteries and 16340, but they may jiggle a bit and the cr123 batteries won’t get the same lumen output as a li ion battery. The tan T4 is made of 7075 aluminum and the black T4 is made of 6061 aluminum.

      The l21b w/sbt 90.2 is an incredibly powerful light, especially for the price, but I do recommend getting the 3x21d w/buck driver for longer runtimes as it uses 3 21700 batteries instead of just one like this one. Both are awesome, if you need super portable high power for short times, this is good, if you need more light longer and don’t mind the larger size, get the 3x21d

    I made it to the 3 minute mark before realizing that nobody on this planet could possibly understand what mode they are going to put it in: Hold this down to double click it on the stepped strobe setting to then hold it on the last mode and all you got to do is just remember the last mode that it thinks you were in - so if you want it on low just hold it down and click six times. See.... hold and click 4 times to go back to your last mode - then just hit it, either click it or hold it, and ya get back to that last high ramping strobe mode that was in high because of the triple click which I held down, like I showed you. Click, click, click, click and then hold and you're right back on medium where we've always been." Should be in a comedy movie

    Hi Marc, I'm one of your newest subscribers. I only started buying flashlights in early April this year with a Wurkkos TS22 and then all heck broke loose! 🔦😂 In just three months' time I've already accumulated twenty torches (Wurkkos, Sofirn and Convoy) and my metallic grey FC12 is a month old purchase. I didn't know that the one that was sent to me has the tactical UI as the earlier reviews of the FC12 were from the original batch with the stepless ramping mode. I found some odd issues with my FC12 - it will randomly lock up and refuse to light if I keep on mashing the tail switch. I looked up r/flashlight on Reddit and discovered that a few other owners faced the same problem too. This issue surfaced when Wurkkos released the new tactical firmware UI. The earlier ramping mode FC12 units weren't affected by this bug. The only known remedy is to depress the side switch for a second and if the light doesn't come on, click the tail switch again and hit the side switch once more. Someone wrote that Wurkkos isn't acknowledging this bug and the company isn't going to recall the hundreds of thousands of FC12 units that they've sold. Perhaps you might want to ask Terry Lee (of Wurkkos) if he's aware of this issue. None of my other 19 lights, including those from Wurkkos have this anomaly. Personally I'm not so much bothered with this FC12 bug since I'm just a new flashlight collector and a retiree, but the light failing to illuminate in an emergency situation is the last thing a tactical flashlight is supposed to do. 🔦🤔 Love your channel, keep up the good work! 👍🏼

    I recently bought the Convoy 3x21c with the 7 sft40 in it with the 54amp driver (8 amp per led) and the orange peel reflector it spreads the light powerhouse style and evenly, but my L21b sft40 overpowers it at long distance easily. My daily torch is a Convoy S21E with a sft40 in it and i changed the reflector out to a 60° defuser what took a little modification filings the defuser back a bit to keep the oring in it to keep it waterproof, it turned out absolutely amazing even wide beam, i made 3 complete lights so i got back ups for dailys😂 I was toying with the idea of buying a L8 but if the L21B sft40 out ranges it im going to wait untill a better light comes along that out ranges the L21B SFT40 thanks for doing a review.

I haven't really given twin 21700 cell flashlights a second look and the only compact throwers that I have are the Sofirn IF22a and the Wurkkos TS11 with the 18650 tube. The Wurkkos TD01c did strike my fancy but wonder if it's worth getting that, because the IF22a is also a single 21700 thrower. I find Convoy lights to be relatively inexpensive, but they look more industrial to me and I don't really fancy its Biscotti(?) UI. My only Convoy is an M1 with the green CSLMN.1 F1 Osram emitter. It came in the cheapest, unmarked plain cardboard box I've seen with an internal bubble wrapping, no clip and no instruction manual. Heck, the M1 doesn't even have a LED power indicator (although it can do a voltage check through a series of blinks). OK, I'm going to check out the Sofirn SP60 soon! 🙂

      Ya convoy is cheap and basic. One of the reasons I love them. Tons of power for less than any other company. I used to love auxiliary lights, but now I don’t use them at all, I don’t want anything to kill my battery except a powerful led. Of course the step above convoy would be wurkkos and sorfirn, which have way more frills surprising. Thank you for watching and feel free to ask me any questions if you have any. Best of luck down this rabbit hole of flashlight life

      This is such a good, cheap light, that theres no harm in getting 2 or 3 lol. The sft 40 in any tint is an excellent choice, I prefer higher cct as that makes it brighter. The light up tail switches are pretty easy to install. No soldering required. You’ll need snap ring pliers or something to unscrew the brass ring and simply install the new switch. I’m not a big fan of telescoping lights, but if I did buy one, it would be the convoy z1 w/ sft40. Another good option would be the w5050sq3 as it’s a round die led, but it uses a 5amp fet driver which won’t give you the best runtimes. You could easily install a 5 amp buck driver, but that requires some soldering.

    Спасибо за хорошее видео из России! Нравится мне Wurkkos Ts30s pro и Convoy L8, но не знаю какой купить. Светят они почти одинаково, хотя Convoy L8 имеет более яркий и меньший луч. Хочу купить дальнобойный фонарь, и не один, что б был). Планирую брать на охоту поиграться в поле. Для близких дистанций есть маленький Fenix. Думаю, что Wurkkos Ts30s более практичен, чем L8: меньше на 2 и 3 см,, популярные батарейки. Скажите, пожалуйста, рефлектор Convoy L8 поместится в карман зимней куртки?

    Is there any difference in brightness between the FET driver version and the buck driver version? (3x21d)

    • @marcgossling8260
      @marcgossling8260 Před 4 měsíci

      Yes. Fet driven flashlights can achieve higher output(lumens/candela) because they are not regulated. A buck driver will not be able to get as bright, but it will sustain higher lumens longer as the driver is being regulated. I don’t mind a fet driver, but if I was planning on using this light for search and rescue I would want a buck driver. For everyday random use, I like the fet as it is brighter in short bursts, but it will get hotter and the batteries won’t last as long

    Thanks for the reviews. The size is just about as big as I wish to go but I do need the lumens of the high for long periods, they say it’s 1800 lumen. However, how realistic is having it on high and it just lasting on that amount of lumens for about an hour non stop for hiking. I know turbo won’t last more than a minute, as like most, but what about high on the sc33 in real life using the stock battery? Is this even possible due to heat, or does it also step down from high like turbo does? I used to own an if25a and the size was amazing but that was useless for consistent high output due to heat, so I’m pandering if this will fare better for my actual needs or do I have to go to a completely different size and budget of flashlight to get what I need out of.

    • @marcgossling8260
      @marcgossling8260 Před 5 měsíci

      I know there’s some graphs of how long this light can sustain lumens, but 1800 seems a little high for a light like this. I’m sure it can sustain 8-900, but not 1800. If you need something that can sustain that kind of light for an hour, I’d recommend the wuben x1. You’re going to be hell bent trying to find a smaller light that can produce that output for a hour
