is this a easy job to start?
It’s simple: you scan the item and it shows part # then it shows the quantity that you need. And what sector it need to be in so the truck can pickup. So let’s say you scanned some bulbs and it says 500 qnty. Lot B2 that means you need to verify you have 500 bulbs there and that they going to the right place. So you send those.bulbs to the picker/packers/handler and tell them stack 10 pallets of 50 bulbs per box. Makes 10 pallets and/or 500 bulbs. They slap label you come back to double verify with truck that’s the qnty and right part number and that’s it your done :) of course Lot B2. Ez stuff. Only challenging is some times the returns and defects cause it’s a lot of reports on damaged items and stuff Also that scanner shows the Plano gram with the sequence number so you can find it super easy. Scanner is a life saver
I wish some one wood hire me. Would love to make use of this plc and ladder logic stuff. can't find opening for 10years.
You should work on your English. Make a good resume and make sure you spell correctly
So many comments say you don’t need college. I beg to differ on that topic, especially in regards to both inventory control AND inventory management. My reasons are simple. You don’t want a dumbass who barely scrapped by in high school controlling or managing any inventory systems. Just like seeing someone with a very toned body, graduating college for most is not easy and speaks to a persons character and their drive to get things done. Also, college studies are more proficient in excel, word, and reporting. My advice: Go take some SQL classes. Most warehouses use this for their data. Learn excel in and out, and if your company has micro strategy all the better. Biggest boon you can give yourself is how to read and understand reporting. Have an accuracy report for your cycle counters. For both inventory accuracy and individual accuracy. I’m telling you. If you can really, REALLY, learn inventory control every other job at your warehouse will be a damn cakewalk. From stocking to picking to receiving. Learn inventory, then learn receiving, then go to outbound. Lastly, learn order resolution. Spend two to three years doing that and you can go to any warehouse you want, but make sure you pay the most attention to inventory. It teaches you how to think critically in an environment that has a gagillion factors on why something is missing. Lastly, ask questions. Why is this happening this way, what function does this process serve to getting orders out the door?
Im an msc graduate in electronics. Im confused about my career. I don't know which course i should choose after this.. whould you help me .??

@@nathanaelthakor4218 As long as you're eager to learn, and stick to it, you will master it in no time 😁

Freshers can apply for this ?
You don't need a college degree for this. This is essentially a stepping stone for higher supply chain jobs. However, RFID is coming and this job will be obsolete.
Great video! Re-sparked my interest in Engineering Technology. I am having a hard time finding decent jobs in this field. I would like to get into either aeronautical/aerospace technology or automotive engineering but it is hard to find these jobs in my area.
Lisa Begg time to move. Federal government depot facilities always hiring.
This job is easy, you do not need to go to collage, just some basic math, and a bit of work ethic.
Hahahaha spelt college wrong....
@@coconutwiggy2333how do u feel saying this after 6 years?
Well, if a college makes a video then you need to go to college. I do this job myself and I'll say basic highschool math is a must. Having a good knowledge of the system and workflow of your organization so you can spot discrepancies when they occur. But it all comes down to basic math and critical thinking.
Good to know, im applying to a ICC position in a week from now, i hope im qualified enough
hanksgavin is this the same as an inventory auditor
