I feel your pain. I try to handle those request in the beginning but it's tricky cause some want it played and will drag the bride or groom to cosign on the request. I'm with you if I can fit it in I'll try.🤔🤔

When people request songs that don't fit the vibe, they care more about what songs they like. It shows their selfishness and that they don't care about the crowd.

I believe that it happens at different events whether it's a school dance or wedding. I will write it down like it's a priority and if I get to it cool if I don't then oh well we know what the vibe is and as DJs we want everyone to have fun. We're not jukeboxes and play the request then and there.

It's interesting that you said the guest should understand where you are at with building the floor. As humans we mostly care about ourselves. I don't think many people care were you're at. They just want to hear there song when they want to hear it. It makes it even worse today because you can almost find any song and they expect you to have it because it's easy to find songs.

I had to get really comfortable just saying "maybe later, but that's not the vibe right now." Another move is to have paper and pen and say "can you write it down so I don't forget?" Had to learn quickly that saying "i dont have it" doesn't work, cuz then they just pull out their phone. The BIG one that annoys me is when they ask if they can request and then start scrolling through their Spotify likes. The message that sends is "i don't actually have a request, I just know that I want to pick one." My guy, they paid me to pick em! Comeback with a track or put it away

Just happened twice to me in the weekend, Friday and Saturday. Middle age and mid-twenties females. One wanted me to play Elton John/George Michael - Don’t let the sun go down. And the other one was Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us. Would’ve definitely killed the vibe and dance floor! 😂

Happened to me twice n the same night at my residency. I’m in the last half hour playing slower singalongs like Keyshia Cole and crowd is with it. Couple asked me to play Ante Up by MOP with 20 minutes til closing. Wouldn’t accept the tip to do it either. Told them come back this week for early hip hop set

Totally disagree with this review. My unit stopped working after one use. The motor that feeds the powder died, the manual is basically useless and Shehds hasn't replied to any requests for help. Garbage unit, garbage company.

Hello! Thanks for this video! I'm thinking about buying one of those. I play solo concerts (piano/singing/drum loops) in bars, restaurants, but also outside weddings (200 people max). I don't have any sonorisation system for the moment and looking for the most versatile option. My question : should i get two Maui 11 G3 or just one Maui 28 G3 (two 28 G3 would be too expansive for the moment, but maybe add an other one later to have a stereo sound). Is there a sound quality difference between the two models? I don't necessary need a lot of bass or big power. My priority is to have a nice clear sound to fully reflect the sound of my piano and my voice. Thanks a lot!!

Sennheiser G4 112P and Shure SLXD5 can be used for wireless audio to speakers. I personally have a Shure SLXD5 and was able to use the SLXD1 to transmit audio from my mixer on the 2nd floor to my SLXD5 mounted on my Everse 8 in my basement. No line of sight needed

Jay all you need is one unit not 2....Take your two xlr cables from your controller or your mixer and put them in channels 1 and 2 of your closest speaker.... then take the speaker our source of that speaker and insert the wireless transmitter... On the other speaker that you placed furthest away from you plug in the wireless receiver on channel one and you're good to go! You will have stereo output with only one wireless transmitter and receiver.

I have a ProX case with a DDJ-1000 SRT. I use a Proline keyboard stand and the height is perfect for me(6’0”). My BBE 882i Sonic Maximizer, mounted directly beneath the controller serves as a mixer/sound conditioner. The top shelf, with a laptop cooler, holds my MacBook, and anything else I may use for the event. It is heavy. But, with all my wiring neatly tucked inside, it is VERY efficient. I do like the look of the furniture. But, I still bring the funk with this set up. 😎

One thing that I know is that no matter how much you try and make your DJ booth aesthetically pleasing or impressive, photographers will still put their bags behind the booth and you won't get paid more. Spending $2000 on tube lights that you're not renting out to clients doesn't make sense to me and I agree with you that you're better off buying uplights, if making money is your goal.
