I Made an Iris Agate Blade Folding Knife From Scratch for The Maker's Challenge!
In this one, we undertake one awesome project for the Maker's Challenge, and agate blade folding knife, but it doesn't stop there, because we used a high flash Iris agate slab to make our blade! Using a bar of brass keystock, a sheet of aluminum, and two planks of wood, we fabricated our handle completely from scratch! This was such an amazingly fun project and I look forward to making more for sure! Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoy, and I will have another one out soon!

We Trapped a Lighthouse on a Rocky Coastline in Resin! Making Landscape Globes on my Lathe!
zhlédnutí 474Před 5 měsíci
In this one, I make some Holiday gifts for my family(yeah I know...kinda late on the upload...). We take two logs and carve out our scenes; for one we carved a snowy village, and the other we shaped a lighthouse, complete with hollow center to include working lights! After we finish rough shaping, we slap on some paint and pour our resin overtop of everything before heading on over to the the l...
I Took a Cheap Knife and Upgraded it! Damascus Blade with Flashy Labradorite Scales!
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed rokem
In this one we take a cheap knife and make it a GREAT knife! This is one I have had for quite awhile, and the quality has always bothered me; sloppy metal work, dull edge, cheap scales, and came already scratched up. But! This knife has always had potential; Made from hardened steel, and a true damascus blade always made me think this knife could go from okay to great! We pop off the scales and...
Silversmithing Rings from Scratch! Step-by-Step Guide to Make Simple but Beautiful Settings
zhlédnutí 1,6KPřed rokem
In this one we break down how to fabricate settings using raw materials resulting in beautiful but easy silver rings! I am preparing to run a booth at the upcoming Gem and Mineral show and needed to make some rings anyway, so I figured it was a perfect time to show the simple ways I've found to make custom settings for the cabochons that I make. We set 2 Montana agate cabochons, a Malachite cab...
Encapsulating a Coral Bed and a Mountain Waterfall in a Crystal Clear Resin Globe
zhlédnutí 920Před rokem
In this one, we do another landscape resin globe lathe project thing(I really need to come up for a better name for these things. environment orbs? idk man). We take some silver aspen logs and carve up our environments- a colorful bed of coral sitting on rippled sand and a waterfall cascading between two rocky outcrops- and then cast them in resin! Then we head over to the lathe and turn them i...
Rainbow Metal Sea Shell! Making Crystals and Metal Casting With Bismuth!
zhlédnutí 8KPřed rokem
In this one, we take some of my favorite material on the planet and play around: Bismuth! We first make some amazing hopper crystals, before moving on to some lost wax casting of sea shells. Due to the very low melting point of bismuth, it is a heavy metal that can be smelted on a stove top! I hope you all enjoy and I'll have another one out soon! Want to make your own Bismuth creations? Here i...
I Sculpted a Dragon Out of Polymer Clay | Step by Step Sculpt and Paint
zhlédnutí 18KPřed rokem
In this one, I take a big ole glob of Polymer clay, some wire, paint, and aluminum foil and transform it into dragon! This is a project I have wanted to do for a very long time, so I am very happy to have finally done it, and I'm even more happy with how it came out! We didn't use any reference photos for this project so I could not be more pleased with our end result. This is just part one tho...
I Took a Log and a Pile of Boards and made a Vase and a Bowl on my Lathe
zhlédnutí 864Před rokem
In this one, we make some vessels.....by which I mean a vase and a bowl. The vase was made from a gorgeous log of aspen, and the bowl was made from planks of curly maple, mahogany, and hickory. This one was a lot of fun! I hope you all enjoy and I will have another one out very soon! I apologize again for my hiatus with uploads, but we are back to our regular upload schedule once more! I Carved a Block of Stone Into a Dolphin Riding Waves
zhlédnutí 1KPřed rokem
In this one, we take a block of angelite and carve it into a dolphin! Angelite is a fantastic medium due to its very low hardness which makes carving a breeze, and it takes on a beautiful sky blue color and marbled texture when polished. This was a very fun project and went by waaaaaay quicker than I was expecting; gotta love working on material that's soft and agreeable. I hope you all enjoy t...
I Carved Landscapes and Then Turned Them Into Crystal Clear Globes!
zhlédnutí 1,3KPřed rokem
In this one, we create snow globes!...but with less glass.....and liquid...and snow...okay they are only like snow globes in shape. But awesome nonetheless! I chopped a log in half with my trusty katana, and then carved miniature landscapes inside! We started off with a nice alpine mountain before moving on to a more desert butte. After our carving, we slap em with a coat of paint and then cast...
I Created Handmade Wooden Fishing Lures and Then Put Them to the Test!
zhlédnutí 918Před rokem
In this one, we finally tackle a project I've wanted to do for a very long time: Handmade fishing lures! I am an avid fisherman, and we go to Florida twice a year to visit family where we do a LOT of fishing. Because of this, I've always wanted to try making some lures and bring them with me to see how they work but I always forget about it until it's too late to start them; not this time! We u...

After making some little houses and a few happy little trees, I rigged the whole thing up with lights and then cast the entire village in resin! This was SUCH a fun project and I am thrilled with how it came out!...

Hey there Theo, My name is Gayla, and I’m a lifelong resident of a small Northern California town called Marysville. We are in eye-shot of the world’s smallest mountain range, called the Sutter Buttes. It’s an iconic landmark to this area. If you look them up on Google, they’ll show an east/west, west/east, and overhead view. The range is circular from overhead because it’s the leftover of an long ago volcano 🌋. Anyway, I think they would make a good subject for carving. Anyway, I love your channels, and really enjoy your art…❤❤❤
