From PSX to XBX, we play a little bit of everything.
Cutting my teeth on video editing and gaming reviews. You could consider this a budget gaming channel since a lot of what I'm looking to cover is stuff that's been out for a while... Maybe months, maybe decades. And PS plus has given me a ton of new options I never had a chance to check out before.
I'll occasionally do a video on a new release here or there, but I don't want to kill the fun of a first playthrough by trying to set a time limit just to create content.
This, above all, is just a hobby of mine. Work makes posting at specific intervals impossible for me. So, the purpose is to have some fun and hopefully introduce a game or two to a new audience as we go.

Am I alone? | Senua's Saga: Hellbade II Review (XBX)
So, here's our review for Senua's Saga, Hellblade 2. I didn't expect to like the game much, to be honest. But I really liked the direction the story went, even if most people sound like they wanted something similar to the personal story Senua went through in the first Hellblade. I really don't hold the same opinion as most people on this game, except that the run time was completely misrepresented by Ninja Theory. But let's get into it.

He stole my heart | Dragon's Dogma 2 Review (PS5)

Well after a 12 year wait, Dragon's Dogma 2 finally arrived. I don't think anything could have topped my hype of waiting for this to finally come out. After putting in around 150 hours into a couple playthroughs, there's some really mixed feelings about this game. Also, there's a few things I'm going to say about the microtransactions "controversy" that aren't going to be popular with a lot of ...

I just don't understand why simplify an already simple combat system, I don't like the first one but the combat system was solid, the problem was the lack of enemy variety with very simple movesets, if they had expanded on that they might have ended up with an actually good action game. And while I get that it's not the priority, if you put a combat system in your game, I'm judging it.
My issue was more of, why simplify it and then market it as being expanded on? I still think the combat feels better in this one, but they pulled a Todd Howard on this one.
Being so adamant about disliking the false narrative makes me extrenely happy. Subscribed just for that, but after taking a glance at your other stuff im definitely gonna go on a binge after work today
Thanks! I appreciate it. I have a bigger problem with people lying to try and tank a game than a company putting in MX that doesn't affect a game. Especially when the same people are demonizing the same companies for layoffs. Be careful going back too far though. Still learning, so they get worse the further back you go.
@@JiggleBellyGaming honestly I kind of enjoy seeing the progress like that, and im not picky about quality anyway
I haven't found such hate for the game. The consensus seems to be that it's a good game, just not so good as the incredible first game. It was a very high bar. Your review is there too, or that's how it felt to me.
Not sure what you mean. I didn't even finish the first and like the 2nd more. But I do need to go back and try and finish the first one again
Great video, found you via reddit! To be honest, I haven't played it yet, mostly because I don't think my laptop can handle it right now. But soon!
Thanks! It's definitely not the kind of game that everyone will appreciate. But I liked it more than I thought I would.
Even considering what I would say is an overpriced launch, did anyone else actually enjoy Senua's Saga?
Bought the game on steam and it rans like crap. Bought it for ps5, rans even worse...
It was pretty stable on ps5 for me. Except when I tried the capped option. That ran horrible, and I went right back to uncapped.
I played the first game and have 250 hours in the second. Both games have bugs, but if bugs were deal breakers, then Skyrim wouldn't be universally considered a top 10 all-time game. Dragon's Dogma 2 somewhat punishes players for failing to explore but allowing them to miss quests. It also makes some quests harder to complete if you're overpowered. For example there's a quest that revolves around poison that you stumble into by exploring a house that's just outside Bakbhatal. If you're too strong or your party has a mage that can heal debilitations, you will fail this quest. That quest encapsulates what Dogma 2 is about. Which is exploration and adapting your party and skills according to quests.
Yep, I had a mage in my party on that quest not even thinking about it. I got quite a bit out of my 2nd playthrough. But I think at this point I'm probably gonna wait for DLC to hop back in like I did with DD1
Finished twice now ..Brilliant game.long overdue in Robocop gaming history.
I haven't finished a full 2nd playthrough, but I hop into NG+ to wreck everyone on a few levels every couple weeks. Love the combat
Eh to think that reddit...or any social media platform is any different than youtube is wild to me. Tho I can guess why you didnt include it. I appreciate your video and enjoyed it tho!
Mainly because I can control the level of toxicity of the comments here, that's the main difference. Normal discourse gets buried over there.
@JiggleBellyGaming True, but you can not control all the other channel's comments....which I mean is literally 99.99999% of the content. So you only approve of media you get to have control over? Lol, I'm mostly messing with you. Just enjoy playing devil's advocate. I did enjoy the vid. It feels honest; something that has become rare these days when it comes to the internet. Got my sub. Still tho...your defense of mtx is unfortunate. People like you will normalize worse and worse mtx interactions...because I mean the devs will always need to eat right? They can't just rely on a good game. So it will only get more intrusive as the bar for an average "good game" gets lower and lower. Tho like me, you'll most likely be dead by the time games become completely monetized.
I like your video and voice so you got a new subscriber! Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Have come a long way from the first videos, and still working on making them better.
@@JiggleBellyGaming I listened to your Banishers one and also quite liked it. Keep up the good work and I hope this hobby stays satisfying for you!
2 steps forward 1 step back exactly, but i like the game. Haven't been hook to a game so hard since rdr2 according to my game time record, gonna be my goty if not KCD2. Now im in fear that we may never see 3 because of mobs and the shitshow, so imma enjoy it while i can.
I'm looking forward to KCD2, but I don't think it will beat DD2 for me. I think we'll still see a third, it's sold really well. Hope it's not another 12 years though. I'm just hoping we get something like dark arisen that adds some stuff like hard mode and speedrun on top of some new enemies. Something like that will keep me playing for a few years
@@JiggleBellyGaming Yeah, by my personal goty i'm not saying kcd beat dd2, it's just for me kcd also has a special place in my heart, just like dd2,or ddda. Though loveing it like few others, it's a 7or 8 of out 10, and i don't think dd2 was finished and developers kinda tricked us? Huge, huge potential wasted...and like you said, there's hope that dlc can address some of it.
Yeah I kind of felt like it wasn't completely finished too. Too many things just missing that didn't make much sense.
@@patricka5193 They apparently had a smaller development team for this game vs their other games. I think most of their development is currently going towards Monster Hunter: Wilds and that's the reason the development team for DD2 was smaller.
What did you end up thinking about Dragon's Dogma 2? Was it worth the 12 year wait?
I am loving it the first one is a game on paper that was perfect for me, but the game always felt to disconnected in feedback for me. 2 feels more refined in that department and am finally able to enjoy it.
My favorite part was that I legit missed some big things my first playthrough, and it was around 100 hrs. I had to look up where Medusa was on NG+ because I had walked right by it
Im playing through it right now hoping to get it finished before rise of the ronin comes out. So far I'm loving it.
Seriously, some of the best side quests and voice acting I've seen for a while. Definitely punching above the normal AA weight class
This game was amazing ❤❤❤
Maybe I was getting impatient at the end. But it definitely has some of the best writing and best acting that we've seen so far this year. Mechanics just brought me down
Very well done.
Thanks! Few things I caught to work on after finishing this one. But I really did have a good time with it on a first playthrough
You’re a wonderful reviewer and earned yourself a new subscriber. Hope your channel flourishes!
Thanks! I appreciate it. Just don't watch those first few... whew, they're a bit rough. I've been working to tighten it all up as I go.
@@JiggleBellyGaming We all have a starting place. You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great! Believe in yourself and your work and the people will come.
What did you end up thinking about Banishers?
I played robocop first on release and loved it, I just got terminator resistance the other day and I can see tons of robocop dna in terminator.
You can tell Teyon was trying something totally new when they did Terminator, but it's still got a ton of love put into it.
@@JiggleBellyGaming yeah you really can feel the love of the craft, similar to metro exodus, it’s meticulously made, just with way less tech than metro lol, and a smaller budget I presume. I’m loving terminator so far, I’m like maybe a third to half way there the campaigns, I want to try infiltrator as soon as I can that sounds awesome, even the dlc that people seem to hate, I mean there’s a lot of talk about this annihilation line so I’m guessing the dlc is pretty significant.
I really liked infiltator mode, but I wasn't a fan of annihilation line personally. To me it had a lot less respect for the movies and some cringe shoehorned story moments. But it's only $10, so not the biggest risk in the world.
@@JiggleBellyGaming you think it’s bad enough to make it suck for me? I ask cause I’m like 9 out of 10 there for gameplay and nothing else
Like you said it has bugs and isn’t perfect but it was a real labour of love by the people who made it and if you like the movie this is a must play 👍
I know it's not going to be for every FPS fan, but I can see going back and playing it years down the the road, just like I do watching the movie every year or so
Man, your channel is a triple A. U Should have a lot more subs! Great video
Thanks! I appreciate it. It's come a long way from the first videos, for sure. Still working on some stuff to improve though. All in time.
I'm going to watch the movie after I'm done, I'd never seen the terminator, but I played the game. When I did watch, I got the exact same "Easter Egg" feeling, only it was in reverse, seeing things from the game in the movie made it better for me (:
A braver person than me. I wouldn't catch any references after the fact
Oh, and I wouldn't recommend 3. 2 is a bit rough, but there's enough to love. 3 is just painful to watch
@JiggleBellyGaming The moment The T-800 got the 50cal handgun with the laser sight, I lost my shit coz it was my favourite in game, and seeing how faithful they kept the bunker was insane
Oh, believe me, i wasn't going to 🤣@JiggleBellyGaming
This game didn’t release on ps4 just ps5 pc and the Xbox
Yeah, unfortunately not many companies are still developing for last gen anymore
@@JiggleBellyGamingit’s sad I think it would’ve worked on ps4
They better patch it
Considering thier support for Terminator, and listening to fans about NG+, I think they'll address the minor issues in time.
I'm surprised you only have 80 followers because this is a quality video with editing and your commentary very well done. Yeah bought the game on Tuesday and haven't had to much time with it but I'm enjoying it immensely....it feels great!!!!!! Completely surprised by how simply fun it is. About to play it now lol
Thanks! I appreciate it. It's definitely one that I'll go back to over the years. Especially since they added NG+. Tearing through the levels that gave me some trouble the first run
I agree with your review and I am a big fan of the original film and saw it when I was about 12 and having fun here it's the best Robocop game since the data east 1988 coin-op, 0h and an alien game would be wicked too 👍
I'm probably just getting my hopes up for no reason for an alien game from Teyon. Still looking forward to whatever they end up doing next.
What did you think of Teyon's RoboCop? And what do you think the next franchise they should take a shot at next?
I loved this game, truth be told I'm way more of a Terminator than Robocop fan, I saw the first two films and I loved the first (2 not so much), I definitely lean more towards Terminator than Robocop, but I noticed the easter eggs Teyon put in here mostly from the first two films, if Teyon decided to make a Colonial Marines at some point, maybe not next, HELL YEAH I'd be up for that, besides the original Terminator, Aliens is the second best James Cameron film.
I'm definitely biased to the Alien franchise, but both had been suffering with bad games for so long. Definitely hoping for an Aliens FPS next
Think I'll just wait until the inevitable "complete edition" to get FF16
Oh yeah. Those are almost always going to be the best value. Even the royal edition for FFXV was technically worth it even though I didn't care much for the game.
@@JiggleBellyGaming never played a ff game I know 7 remake/rebirth is gonna be coming out but this one seems more my style seeing as it's more action focused and made by some of the team behind DMC
Im probably one of the only people I know that didn't care much for the remake, but you might still want to check it out. It's pretty action focused too. Just a bit more pause time than this one.
The end of the game pissed me tf off
Beautiful dungeon theme
Wonderful dlc
I dont know if this was worth, but the lore and information that led to some interesting observations: czcams.com/video/SQ4hAsOsEFQ/video.htmlsi=b3j093it0mGpqYG9
The dlc is more of a arcade update/ difficulty boost. Playing this in FF mode made it worth the price and fun. It feels like a boss rush level which in terms of ff16 is pretty good im its own way. Id say its worth the 10$
I could see FF mode making it a bit more fun for the added challenge
I probably have a good time. I spend money in worse things
Some people really liked it, I just wasn't too into it for the price
Bought it but got into the god of war dlc and haven't gone back to this I completely forgot how to play ff16 gpd of war was more easy to pick up for me
I did the same thing, had to go back to this one since it was just sitting there. I picked up GOW a lot easier too. FF16 dodge tied to r1 took me a but to pick back up.
Loved the idea of the dlc, wish they had done more of the side content like this, it would have made the side quests so much better if they had cut about half of them, and turned them into 6-7 crazy dungeon runs like this. The game is a 9/10 for me, simply because the potential is game of the year if they had done a few more things right. You dont see that with very many games.
That might actually be better wording for how I felt about it... Kind of felt like this was just how the side quests in the main game should have been. Just a couple hour diversion from the main story line.
Good DLC, should have been $5 yeah. Definitely feels like I got cheesed into paying $5-$10 more for The Rising Tide since most of us were looking forward to that the most anyway. I kind of knew this wouldn’t touch upon the Fallen *enough*, given that it was at a cheaper price point than Rising Tide. Still disappointing other than the exceptional (compared to base game in my opinion) OST, really sick level design of the Tower, and challenging boss fights that made me relearn the combat system. I enjoyed all of that enough so I won’t complain too much if Rising Tide is good, personally.
Oh man, going back to the button layout had me all messed up after the GOW DLC. Took at least half an hour before I wasn't hitting the wrong dodge
The "Ifreet" pronunciation is actually how it is pronounced throughout the series, not just unique to XVI. But im right there with you, he has been "Ifrit" to me for most of my life 😂
Yeah... it's gonna stay "Ifrit" through at least FFXXV for me
None of this game is worth the price. The main game was my biggest hype to most hated game letdown I’ve had in 25 years of gaming
To each their own. That was FF15 for me. I ended up liking 16, just not this DLC too much
@@JiggleBellyGaming I had fun with the story and everything up until the ship chase/battle. It went off the rails with odin and his cutting of the water and everything and i just stopped playing as I had zero interest in finishing the game and that is where it sits. somewhere around 70% completed because of how bad the final act is.
Out of all the disappointing games that has been released, this one was the one that broke the camels back ?
@@AngeloSNT23 hahah probably didn’t play the others. This one disappointed me because I was so hyped. The delta between hype and disappointment was so big for me it felt like a gut punch
Final Fantasy 7 is much more worse
I wouldn't say you're way off, it WAS a little lack luster in terms of actual content the gauntlet was fun, and the added OST went hard, which was nice, but I think the narrative it offered was where the actual value was Spoilers ahead for those who haven't played it yet The DLC did what the main game didn't in that in actually gave us a look into what the Fallen did, we previously only knew that they existed, challenged Ultima, and were then struck down, but were never told anything more than that The Fallen had created their own mother crystal, and an Eikon, or atleast a being with raw power equivalent to one, to protect it, it gave us a little insight on the "how" they challenged Ultima, which I felt was really nice, the game had done a lot of *telling* us why things happened, but in this is DLC it *showed* us why what happened, happened. And also I got to see Airships that weren't literal fossils, which was cool, albeit not actually touched upon in dislogue or anything, I just thought it was neat.
I can appreciate the look at the fallen and what they were doing, I just expected a bit more than a glimpse. Like couldn't even have an escape cutscene of crashing an airship getting out or anything as a throwback? Even the references to FF6 with the magitech war and contained "espers" was cool. It all just was more in passing than expanded on, and kinda let me down. I doubt rising tide will have the same issues for me though. No way they'll just gloss over where leviathan has been
@@JiggleBellyGaming An airship escape scene WOULD'VE been really cool, I agree. As for Rising Tide, I'm hoping for, like you said, answers for Leviathan's whereabouts, and maybe even a Leviathan themed moveset I mean we've gotten all the other Eikons, what's one more?
Great balanced review. I’m personally enjoying the game. It’s like an interactive movie . Perfect to wind down at the end of the day
Thanks! I really liked the direction they went. But I could see how it would turn a lot of people off to it. Really looking forward to Rising Tide for answers on Leviathan
I love this FF. Is it my favorite (no). But, I do believe it is a good addition to the series. With that being said, here are my issues with the game. First they have pacing issues. They brought MMO side quest style to a single player game (not a good decision). Second, the had main quest that should have been side quest and they had side quest that should have been main quest. After you swap those out (you know which ones I am talking about) you can get rid of the rest of the side quest. They had a crap ton that was pointless and the reward was a crafting material that you already had like 500 of (which made it even more pointless). Last is you need to pick a lane. Ether be a RPG or be an action adventure. They could have fixed this by just making elements and status ailments during combat a thing. This would have brought a lot more strategy to combat and also would make weapons more important except just a power up in attack and or defense for armor. These things would have made it more of a RPG and would have been more faithful to FF. The other options would be to get rid of half the weapons and armor (have like only 6 or 7). Those six or seven weapons would have a different combat style (like a bow, axe, two handed sword, one handed sword and shield ect..). This would have leaned more into an action combat / action adventure. Everything else in the game I loved. Examples are that it has by far one of the best stories in all of the FF (Only two stories are better is 6 & 7). Also it has the second the best combat (I think FF7R has the best combat by far). Last, It does have the best score of all the FF. Great Game!!!
Definitely some valid points. I honestly don't look at it as even trying to be an RPG at this point. It's a story driven action adventure, but Definitely not an RPG. And I agree with the insane amount of pointless "loot" But it is an entry I really did like the story overall. Went back to play FF6 right after, and it definitely doesn't hold a candle to that for me, it's one of the more memorable entries after 6 and 7 for me. Have you played Echoes of the Fallen yet?
@@JiggleBellyGaming yes. Omega was epic. So excited for the Leviathan DLC!!!!
I'm excited about seeing (and hopefully fighting) leviathan, but I wasn't too keen on $10 for the first DLC, personally. Omega was about the only standout for me for such a short add on.
@@JiggleBellyGaming I thought $10 for 3-4hrs of game play was cheap enough. Hell I beet spider man 2 in 12hrs and that was $70. If you do the math they could have charged $20-$25 for the amount of content.
Yeah, I also look at games like the Fallouts and the Witcher DLCs. I know it's subjective, just felt like $10 for a DLC that took about 3 hours isn't worth the bother.
Great video! Just finished my playthrough of Valhalla and loved it. Subscribed
Thanks! I appreciate it. We're you as surprised as I was about how much actually went into it?
Great review man! I loved the DLC. My favorite part is how Mimir learned more about Kratos' past and helped him get through it! I never played the previous GOW games, but it was nice fighting the Greek bosses! :)
I actually bounced off all the old ones until I finished Ragnarok, then went back and really liked playing through the trilogy. Though I still like the new ones more, I appreciated them after Ragnarok
I walk the whole time lol 😆
Some of those areas are just too dang big for my liking
Great video boss, I'm definitely going to have to put together and rank all my 2023 platys towards the end of the year.
Thanks man! I normally wouldn't do a Plat video but they just kind of added up and I needed to get back into the groove
Hey man, you earned the plats so you might as well cover em. Skyrim was one of my fav plats, just because of how huge the game was to me at the time, so getting the plat was like wow, i really went through this whole game and did it.@@JiggleBellyGaming
I can't believe I did it twice. I looked at my old ps3 list and it is close, but decided against it. After FO3 and NV, I'm burnt on ps3 Bethesda engine games
Thats where we differ, I wish I could get into the fallout games, playing elder scrolls first just put me off of the fallout series. "its skyrim with guns" is exciting but i could never get into it as i wished.@@JiggleBellyGaming
30$ is a good price. It truly looks next Gen and it is super fun
I honestly liked it, just wouldn't have recommended at full price. I would have probably even recommended at $45 if it wasn't already going for $30
I was expecting you to have around 1000 subs with the quality of this video. I was so suprised when you only had 37. Im gonna sub you
Thanks! I appreciate it. Been working since the first one on improving as I go. Starting to get the hang of it, but still alot to work on.
Okay I have a question for you do you know the part where you get some music with a guy sitting down and that's what I'm stuck at I don't know what to do from there
I'm not gonna spoil anything, but the guy you give music sheets to doesn't move the plot forward. Look up higher than street level
