When at work I asked if there were some good fishing spots. Boy did they not disappoint. I was forced to learn to skip my baits and I struggled. I was in Cali for a few days and didn't have any of my gear. So I went to Walmart a Lew's combo and some bait.

That's right! It's my first trip with my pound prowler 10. I moved the trolling motor to the front and I don't like it there. Also, comment below to help me name my boat.

Hey so it looks like it fits in the bed of that tacoma. Between the wheel wells?
It sure does. It was like it was ment to be.
Did you have any trouble getting your registration numbers to stick? Any secrets?
I did have trouble. The only thing I could tell you is make sure you clean it and use some degreaser and wax remover. Just something to there isn't any oils and such on it.
@@fridayfishing8100 I ended up,wiping it down well with acetone. Seems to have helped. But I think I could peel them off easily if I wanted to. Someone else suggested putting clear packing tape over them. Haven’t yet but I tested the tape,and does seem to stick much better.
@jjp95136 I also did packing tape over. It helped but living in vegas and it 110⁰ the glue just melts and makes a mess

Looks good, looks like MDF though, which is basically super thick cardboard, won't do so well with water...
It worked out great. Just had to make sure I was aware of how much water touched it and it was always kept indoors.
Great video! This is a beautiful moment for your son! I have a question. I bought a Pond Prowler for my 8 years old son and I am trying to make casting deck, but I don’t have much DIY experience. Do you have a support wood in the middle of casting deck? I am wondering if deck will break or flex when we stand on it if there is no support. I appreciate your advice. Thank you.
The only support was the on I had toward the back. The casting next wasn't to long so there the front half had some support then there was about 2 and a half feet unsupported. I'm 155lbs and it didn't flex for me.

I used all threa washers and nuts. Under the 2x4 I fixed the all tread to the board then used a washer on the inside the washer lock nut at washer on the outside.

Awesome! Yes you could but over time it will grind down the plastic so keep it to a minimum. Have fun with it.

Hey bro hows it work out running your fish finder and trolling motor on one battery? How long can you fish before it gets low ?
I have no issue at all running both on one battery. I have been out on the water for 6 hours. On full power on trolling motor at that time it will go down to 11v.

I highly recommend reinforcing that rear transom with wood. There's a few uploads on CZcams highlighting it on other prowler upgrade videos.

It's MDF and I sealed it. I know it's not what I really need. But that was in the budget. Best thing when I upgrade I have a templet.
I love the way you did the decks with storage underneath. I can’t wait to see you do lighting. Your boat with the decks is the best looking & most functional pond boat I’ve seen yet. There’s only one thing I would suggest & that’s to treat all the wood, water on the floor especially would destroy all your great work. If I missed you treating it, I apologize. Thanks for posting!

you did a great job setting up your boat but just my opinion adding the decking adds weight to the boat that i think most of like throwing into the bed of the pickup truck but again your way younger than old me but putting it in the truck bed can be a bitch sometimes lol . i'm on my 2nd one love hate relationship with it but i think that can be said with all boats. i like the gamefisher you put on the back perfect size for the boat and lite enough to haul around and not put to much pressure on the stern, i've seen people put 10 hp motors on them that crazy.
and i'm not knocking anyones mods to these boats because they have so many options , leave them plain or deck em out to your comfort zone again i think most of us are drawn to them to be able to load into the bed of a truck , heck i've seen a few videos of people putting them up on the roof of a car or suv now that takes muscle .
Totally agree and thanks for watching. I love light weight of the boat. I'm getting up in age and my bike isn't the best anymore. It is a pain to get it in my truck since it is lifted. So a trailer will be in the future. I want to do camping trips so a trailer for the boat and bed for gear. There is nothing that I could think of that want to put on the boat.

What kind of truck is that? I drive a Tacoma and went to look at them today, but didn't know if it would fit that well so I didn't get one. Will it fit in a Tacoma Bed?
It's an 05 tacoma access cab with long bed. It will definitely fit in the tacoma! Might over hang a bit but it will slide right in like it was destiny. You won't regret the pond prowler 10.
I love it! Simple without trying to do everything. Serves an intended purpose and does it quite well. Pretty good stuff, my mechanical friend!

Harbor freight 10ft trailer works perfect
I am looking into it. Now that I have a gas outboard with will be so much easier for transport. Also have the truck bed for camping supplies.
