New Phones for our move to El Salvador
We all got new phones before going to El Salvador. We wanted ones that the kids could use that would be rugged enough for them to lug around with them and be waterproof and be able to have a Bitcoin wallet on them. We went with the uleFone brand as they were less expensive for their ruggedness as well as some special features with the loudspeaker, longer battery life, pretty decent cameras and the microscope attachment.
In this review we have the Armor 16S, Armor 21, Armor 22 and the Note 17 all by uleFone.
We also got the microscope that attaches to the Armor 16S and the Armor 21.

Today we visited our first volcano, El Boqueron. It was a long drive up but a short walk. I think the walk was about 45 minutes. We had such a busy day today. First we went to see the field of lava from the San Salvador Volcano eruption over 40 years ago, it was in Quezaltepeque. Today was spent in El Zonte at the Bitcoin Farmers Market. Then we moved AirBnBs and went out to dinner at Pollo Campero, like St. Hubert or Swiss Chalet in Canada. Interesting videos. I lived in El Salvador in 1976 and 1977. Last time I went back was thirty years ago, I took my wife and kids back to meet my wife’s family. She was from Santa Tecla. We spent two weeks in El Salvador and Guatemala. So much has changed since I lived there. Comparatively everything looks so much newer and brighter. Seems to be a much more developed tourist industry. I’d like to go back and visit, if I had a travel companion. But, I’ve long since lost contact with friends I made almost fifty years ago. Pero, todavia hablo espanol.
Talking about volcanoes, I climbed the Volcano of Usulutan in 1976 and the Volcano of San Miguel in 1977. Visited El Boqueron in 1993.
If you took a trip and let people know on the Facebook expats groups, I bet you would meet a lot of people that you could hook up with and plan day tours together around the country.
It takes alot of time to go down in to the small Crater.
Maybe next trip we’d be brave enough to climb down.

Did you ever paint the rail between the warming plate and top with the warming plates? How did it come out? I'm thinking of doing the same.
I haven’t and nearly all the paint is off of that now. I bet something like a high temperature paint that you would use for a wood stove would work. Since I bought this AGA second hand, I just treat every little scratch or mark as a sign that I love her enough to use her! And since she was so expensive, I bet my husband appreciates that too. 😂 The only thing I spent more money on a one time shopping trip was our minivan that we bought new 14 years ago when Willem was a baby, not including real estate!

Nice tour! Atecozol is a beautiful national park not a city, in fact it belongs to the municipality of Izalco. It's filled with magical water springs and large natural pools.

We are definitely not Karens, we loath Karens 😂. At Los Chorros we were approached by a little boy asking if we were from the US. In our broken Spanish we told him that we are from Canada. And another man and I had a pretty good Spanglish conversation in the pools together as well. It was awesome there and can’t wait to take the kids with us.
