1957 TC Motoring Guild / Abingdon Rough Riders Conclave
Original 8mm film footage from the first meeting of TC Motoring Guild and Abingdon Rough Riders, held September 27-29, 1957 in San Luis Obispo, California. The two clubs have met every year since then at different places roughly halfway between the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. For more TCMG history visit our website at www.tcmotoringguild.org/

Here we see Joe Douglass receive an award for his 54 years of faithful service to the TC Motoring Guild. At the time of this award, Joe is still driving the 1947 MG TC he bought new from the showroom of his local dealer all those years ago. Sorry for the shaky, out of focus shots near the beginning. The ceremony caught our cameraman off guard!
