nice - I guess the one in Upminster doesn't count? it is fully working too and in a London Borough, I guess it's due to the fact this one still produces flour, not sure if the one in Upminster does, apparently it does but only for display purposes, as this one actually uses the flour to make bread etc.. very good.

Amazing. I just love visiting UK. Next time I am there I will try to visit Rye.
While it may take a bit of time to get there from London, the beauty and serenity of Rye make the journey well worth it.
Those houses with the painted planked walls are typical of the Kentish type of build common in Kent and East Sussex.
I've always wanted to go to Rye. This has given me a flavour of the place.
If you're looking for a peaceful and picturesque gateway, Rye is the perfect destination. The quaint antique shops add to the charm of the place.
Enjoyed the tour i remember in 1972 i was there as a child on a trip and we stayed at the Mermaid inn. It is such an enchanting place.
The Mermaid Inn still provides a high level of service throughout.

I was there 13 days ago. My wife and just returned to the US three days ago. We had spent 3weeks with our daughter who lives in London. We took the easy 3 hour train trip to York 12/17-12/19. The Christmas Market was fun, but York itself is FABULOUS. It bills itself as a beautiful medieval city and it does not disappoint in any way. English, Viking and Roman history are everywhere. The Minster s magnificent. The Shambles is exactly as it’s presented and the coolest thing is it’s real, not a 21 century mock up. Some posh and name brand stores, bu5 the vast majority of shops, restaurants and pubs are locally owned and run. A great place to visit any time of year.
