We have Joy seedless table grapes in our backyard mini vineyard, in Chicago suburbs. It was dumb luck when we ordered the vines online that we chose Joy to be one of the varieties. I was absolutely blown when I tasted our first harvest, which was this year. Never had store grapes that tasted like Joy. They burst with flavor, and have great texture and thin skin. Absolutely delicious and very addictive. I will be growing Joy vines for a very long time, without a doubt. Disclaimer: I am not a wine maker. Only growing table grapes.

I am looking to get into providing for a local farmer's market and plan to use the prime ark traveler for that. Both prime ark freedom and traveler grow vigorously and produce a abundance of fruit.

From the Willamette Valley Oregon, my plant is only two years old since planted (I assume it was a one year old nursery stock) and the second season of it being in the ground I had at least 10 large clusters of grapes that were pretty much identical to the green seedless grapes you buy at the grocery store, at least in my opinion. I didn't know grapes like this could be grown here. Crisp and crunchy just like a store grape and they were about the same size too. Heck yeah!

Review based on growing Faith for a fourth year in San Diego. Third year, I wasn't impressed by small clusters and non-descript flavor, though I definitely marked the geometric ("right-angled") growth pattern and healthy, attractive leaves. (As a matter of policy, I never express an opinion on a vine before fourth leaf.) Fourth year, the vine really came into its own. Massive production, much larger clusters, large berries, texture is perfect melt-in-your mouth, skin very smooth and silky (how different to the tannic powdery cabbagey balloon rubber skin of Jupiter!) the flavor mild, but subtly attractive, definitely "moreish" as the British say. This is a grape that feels good in the hand when plucked, the skin chews well in the mouth, the crunch and pulp and seedless all contribute to great mouth-feel, so that I would rate it very, very high, up with Reliance, as a luscious, enjoyable grape you can't stop eating. Jury is still out on Compassion and Gratitude. Hope is pretty darn good, beautiful, round, tasty fruit, but being smaller and shattering a bit, it certainly doesn't dislodge Neptune from my top spot for crunchy seedless yellow berries and tasty fruity-flavored fruit. (If you think an almost pure isoamyl acetate flavor is a "fruity" flavor, which is what Neptune has.) Combined with its very good health, I can recommend Faith highly for San Diego. Having just trialled Everest (from Cornell) under similar conditions, I would rate Everest as having a a wonderfully smooth texture, with just a bit of skin and barely noticeable seed traces. 9 out of 10. But Faith's sublime texture is about as close to a perfect ten as a vine is going to get. GOOD JOB U of Ark! I think Faith is a grape that people will GO OUT AND BUY.

I knew some one that went to some vineyards around Mecca Calif. to get some Sable cuttings, but she arrived too late in the spring. She was offered green shoot cuttings but decided she would not take them as they would not have survived the flight home. I think she was also around Bakersfield but they were also pushing shoots as well. She did say the field workers were real nice and explained how to clone green shoot cuttings but she has never had luck doing that.@@MarkMiner-ei6dv

5:20 ... It might be less expensive to distill the alcohol out of the water rather than distilling the water out of the alcohol. I'm not even sure how you accomplish the latter, since the alcohol has the lower boiling point. I'm sure the professor knows better, of course, but I still thought it was an odd thing to say.
