I voted for Brexit and I feel that Brexit in and of itself is not a bad thing, but that the British Conservative government is too much of a 'broad church' to make effective decisions. If we had a government like that of Argentina's, which is ready and prepared to take drastic action, then perhaps Brexit would have been more of a success. Anyways, as an English tutor, I think your channel is great and I recommend it to my students.

I think the EU will survive for years to come. The hard thing is that after leaving the EU, Brexit is the elephant in the room, causing difficulties between Great Britain and the EU, like travel to Europe!

I don't know why people think that the price increase is caused by leaving the European Union? After all, inflation affected all European countries. The UK could stop following the pathological green policy pushed by the EU and life would immediately be better. The only negative thing I noticed was the extra import tax on goods from the European Union. Because in addition to VAT in the country of purchase, we add import tax. The problem with the EU currently is that the nation's sovereignty is being lost and the economy is designed to support the German economy, not the economies of other countries.

The idea that since we left the EU the UK has suffered because of the fact is a nonsense. How is the German economy doing?. Lets talk about business, only 5% of UK businesses trade with the EU countries so 95% don't but they bound by EU laws to abide by EU legislation even though they never traded within the EU. 85% of the UK GDP is created within these islands. The propaganda being spouted that the EU is a success is s nonsense. The EU's share of world trade has fallen every year for well over a decade. It's becoming irrelevent. As for travel being more difficult, well that was so funny given that the vast majority of Brits only travel into the EU once a year for a week or two.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. The hard of thinking pro EU lobby believe that a bunch of self serving politicians in the Parliament in Brussels or is it Strasbourg this month (there's a debate to be had straight away, 2 parliaments ? really?) can Govern the UK better than a bunch of self serving Politicians in our own country is laughable. Also worth noting the lack of democracy within the EU Parliament. Electing Ursula Von Der Leyen when she was the only candidate, democracy my arse. At least we get to elect or kick out our own useless politicians but the citizens of the EU don't get to kick out the useless EU Politicians. MEP's have no power to propose any legislation, they only get to approve and in some circustances amend legislation. There is a dire lack of democracy within the EU. If the EU is so great then maybe a remainer/re-joiner could explain why satisfaction from EU membership is at an all time low and falling. The Right wing across Europe is rising. Lets look at some examples of what the EU gave the UK. Wage suppression, uncontrolled immigration (6million EU Migrants) The EU countries totally failed to secure their Common external Borders ,which by the way is breaking EU law on a daily basis. Pressure on our services ,especially Housing, education,NHS etc.

I'm not a native English speaker, because I'm actually Dutch. It's not mentioned in the video, but I believe that allthough Americans do use the word motorcycle, they mostly refer to them as a bike. This word may confuse the British (I don't know), because they'd probably define the word bike as the term for a bicycle exclusively, while Americans use it in a wider context. I may be wrong about this, though. Allthough it's understandable why Dutch people tend to be more comfortable with American English, it's still weird that we use this variation the most, while we are taught British English during education. You might expect that picking up more from British English is most likely if you're closer to its origins, like the Netherlands is, but most of us actually remember more of the American English variation, because of all the content on tv and the internet. I even think that more of American English has integrated with Dutch than British English has. Probably only those Dutch people who specifically dive into British English and British culture would, for example, ask a British person where they could find 'the loo', while most Dutch people would just ask for 'the toilet'. I'm aware of the difference, and I would try to speak British English if I'm addressing a British person, but I'm also one of those people who has become more familiar with American English. When I was taught at school, I still wrote in British English, but even that has changed because of the use of the internet, and I got used to written American English more as well. The problem with the Dutch speaking English, however, is that because of the influences from both variations we tend to use a mixture of both. Fun fact, what Americans call Tic Tac Toe and the British call Noughts & Crosses, the Dutch literally call this (translated) 'Butter, Cheese & Eggs'. It doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm sure there is some history on this one. I could see the circles as being the cheese and the lines as the spreading of butter, but i can't imagine eggs represented by the crosses.
