How did you get such a stable image? Looks great!
Vision3 50D is the best film ever made, I know 500T is universally loved, there’s just something about 50D that feels classic yet modern.

Looks beautiful! I’m planning on taking my Bolex to Venice in a few months. How did you find travelling with film stock through the airport scanner?
I was coming from the USA so having security hand check my film on the way there wasn't a problem. When coming back through Italian security they did want to put my film through the x-ray machine. With a few stressful minutes of persisting and asking for a supervisor they allowed it to be hand checked and ended up being kind.

Great picture, love your style. How do you expose your film?
Thanks! This camera has an auto light meter built into it that sets the exposure. However the snow was reflectance and bright, so a lot of this footage was overexposed and I had to grade it down in post.

Very nice beautiful ship I had the honor of attending her commissioning in Boston back in 2002 I even saw some of my old shipmates from the previous Preble DDG 46 and spoke with another gentleman from Preble DD 15 I understand her homeport was moved from San Diego to Honolulu Hawaii . Looks great! I was curious - exactly how expired was the film, and how was it stored? I've just acquired a bunch of old 7207 that's been in room temp for 15 years, so I doubt I would get the same results but would be interesting to compare!
Not sure exactly the year. It was Vision2 so whenever that stock was in circulation is my only clue. The person I bought it from said it had been stored in the freezer the whole time.
Do you use the stock Meteor 5-1 Lens, or a separate one? I was thinking of going for a Super 16 Krasnagorsk but I really don't want to have to buy a separate lens to properly frame it.
Yes, I only have and use the stock Meteor Lens

Hi Jacob, I know this is a while ago but hopefully you're still active. I love your footage. Just wondering if you expose 'correctly' or do you deliberately expose a stop over as I know some people do? And any basic insight into your grading process would be great. Thanks!
I always over expose 1 stop, sometimes 2. For my grading process I simply bring up the whites and down the blacks to their appropriate levels and then tweak some of the highlights, shadows, and saturation. I don't do much in color correction as to keep the original film stock colors

Thank you! Most of it was from the roll ending or starting. Usually the first and last 20 seconds have some light leaks.
