•all tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises •russian tortoises dont come from russia •looks and diet arent the main things the differentiate turtles and tortoises. Some turtle species have different diets from other turtles, same with tortoises. And not all turtles look the same, and not all tortoises look the same.
