I believe the were used by the North West Mounted police or the RCMP as a police aircraft a long time ago . I think the Beaver went in production later than the Norseman .

I wonder how much those big pontoons affect the flight characteristics of the Beech.

Maybe I´m too much of a bush flying and radials lover; maybe it was the music; maybe it was the memories; maybe the prospect of re-living them; the fact that I was actually living them by watching it... Whatever it was, thanks!

Boy, was it really seven minutes and a half? I hit the play button and couldn´t move a single muscle til it was over. I don´t know if you got any award at that contest, but you sure shoudn´t care. That was one of the most captivating pieces of art I´ve seen in a while.

The Norseman has a special place in my heart. It takes me back to my childhood, when we flew in the Norseman from Minaki to our then new place out in the bush for Christmass. It must have been in 1972 or 73. I also flying out moose hunting with my dad and guests in the norseman. Man we used to fly soooo overloaded! Thanks for this film! Gerhard Gehrmann jr.
