I decided to go with real fastback inner structure on this car. Well in this video I do a lot of pushing and pulling of the frame components. I removed the damaged rocker and replaced it with a donor rocker. Had fun also.

@johncorcoran38 I try to get everything through dynacorn. When I can't I'll use classic industries for now on. No more cj pony parts. They ship out bent parts. I'm in middle tn

Best “satin black” is PPG DP 40 primer.. reduced 5-10 percent lay flat..

are the b pillars the same fastback/coupe?
@@elvisberisha-s7m coupe has a place cut out in them for quarter glass to come through. I just fill in that hole with a piece of metal and good to go. Same for the most part.

I just replaced a broken window in my RV and the butyl tape to hold it in with is gooey like bull snot and it gets all over everything.

A tip on the headliner use old wind lace cut them up in 3 inch long test fit then glue works well I’ve done many
@roberthirshfield3571 I've done it that way also. It was over 100 degrees outside. Adhesive dried super fast so I didn't have to use my windlace pieces. I do use that trick in the winter.
Really coming together , I know I complain about the weather here in Canada but it must be tough working in +100 degree weather especially when you are not feeling well. And yes the universe is weird

@@MrGonein60 just finalizing the colour combination. we are going pepper grey for main but trying to decide on stripe colour. We are thinking dark grey instead of traditional black. I am going to spray out a couple of test panels first

@@MrGonein60 yes. that is the one. When I saw the "S" code in your video I wanted to reach out and grab the car as that was exactly the one I had when I was 18 years old but boy she looks rough.
Have you ever used old windlace to hold new headliner to the windshield seam and rear glass seam, for installation. Works fantastic. Obviously it must be removed to install glass, but works great as a tool.
Oh yes. Many many times. Thankfully on these hot days the adhesive dries fast and holds it well. In the winter I use the old windlace trick

@Must-Stangingarage I'm really not sure about bracket location diagram. I just place brackets in place as I go. It's pretty simple.

Brand spanking new from the factory those cars had waves like the ocean. I personally would just wipe little body filler on repair spots and panel joints just to finish her fitment other than that she's gonna be a looker great work and progress 👍 👏

@mikeseldomridge8052 I'd strongly suggest it. Your roof skin attaches to the drip rails that is attached to the roof structure. Some people shave the drip rails but it's just what a person prefers.

How come you don’t brace car
@mikeseldomridge8052 because after building probably 60 or more fastbacks I realized bracing them up is useless and actually hinders me from being able to jack up or lower the rear frame rails into place. Over time these cars sag or twist or have been involved in accidents.
