Assos Kefalonia
Asos, also written as Assos, is a small seaside village in the regional unit of Kefallinia, in the northwestern part of the island of Kefalonia, on the peninsula of Erissos, with a population of 88 inhabitants (census 2011). It is built at an average altitude of 20 meters above sea level, at a road distance of 40 kilometers north of Argostoli.
Geography-demography
Asos is located above and north of a narrow isthmus ("neck") only 50 meters wide, which joins the main part of Kefalonia with a small steep peninsula, the peninsula of Asos, where the Fortress of Asos is located. The shallow cove that forms north of the isthmus is the small harbor of the village. The geographical coordinates of the village are latitude 38°23' North and longitude 20°32' East. The nearest villages are relatively far away: Drapanitika is less far away by road, located 5 kilometers north of Asos, while in a straight line the nearest are Defaranata (2 kilometers) and Kothreas.
Administratively, according to the Kallikratis plan and after its amendment in 2019, Asos is the local community of the same name (of which it is the only settlement), which falls under the Municipal Unit of Erisos of the Municipality of Sami, in the Regional Unit of Kefallinia of the Region of the Ionian Islands. Previously, since 1866, it was referred to as Assos (with 2 "s") and was the seat of the homonymous community (which also included the settlement of Fourio, with 6 inhabitants in 1961), of the Sami District of Kefallinia Prefecture. Its name was corrected to Asos in 1940. The postal code of the village is 28084.

Funny fact is there was a police officer parked behind me with an ambulance driving behind the suv talking about getting the best service fast. I'm getting a cement truck...😂 Horrible fuel economy, but I'll live!
Have had a couple of incidents with four wheelers and yea some plastic cracks but always was able to drive away after the incident. Only time I had to be towe was when a Chevy 3500 hit my right steer tire and blew up in flames destroying my tuck. Big trucks are now mostly plastic but give me an old fashion truck with metal hood and bumper you always can keep driving.
