Dorian Vanilla has a voice with an unfamiliar accent. In his music Dorian explores the themes of escapism, hedonism and affection.
Dorian grew up in North Karelia, Finland. In his youth Dorian discovered grunge rock, and it gave him a spiritual home and a tool to dissociate from the lower-middle class routines. In other words, Dorian wanted to be a rockstar.
However, after dedicating years of his life making music to an audience that didn't exist, Dorian decided to embrace lower-middle class opportunities. He decided to pursue a standard life without music.
Years passed. Life was good, but something was missing. Then one morning Dorian could not get up anymore. The routines had taken their toll, and Dorian felt guilty - was he too weak for this life?
In order to survive, Dorian made a conscious decision to dissociate from the reality again. He became Dorian Vanilla.
