Honda CB500F Tail Tidy Install
Quick install of an Amazon tail tidy for the CB500F. This kit will work for all 2016+ CBR500R CB500F/X Models. I think this makes a huge difference to the aesthetics of the bike and for $25 is one of the easiest things you can do to make a significant change.
If you want to purchase one of these for yourself search VM-H510 Tail Tidy on Amazon. No affiliation, just offering the info for those interested. Apologies for the lack of a clickable link as I don't have enough post history to gain those permissions yet.
Thanks!

Scorpion EXO-R1 Air: Best Value in Sport Motorcycle Helmets?
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed 7 měsíci
Hey Guys, Just a quick one today discussing my current helmet and what drew me to purchase it. Compared it briefly to the Shoei RF-1400 if you happen to be cross shopping that model as well. Ultimately, I think that the value proposition this provides is near unparalleled on the market today, especially if you can get it at a discount. Let me know if you have any questions on specs or my person...
KNOX Oulton MK2: Best Value Motorcycle Glove
zhlédnutí 2,4KPřed 9 měsíci
Finally found the pair of gloves for me. A short comparison of the Knox Oulton MK2 gloves with some more premium options (Dainese 4 Stroke, and Knox Handroid Pod). Anyone looking for a good balance of protection and comfort, I definitely recommend the Knox Oulton. Ample hard slide protection coupled with comfort make this, in my opinion, the best value in the $150 price category.
Best Premium Short Cuff Motorcycle Gloves: Knox Handroid Pod MK5 vs. Dainese 4-Stroke 2
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 9 měsíci
The search for my next glove continues. Today I looked at a couple premium options and outline some feature differences between each. Unfortunately neither of these are going to stick around for their own reasons that I will explain in the video. To clarify sizing, per the size charts for both brands, Dainese has me at a M-L and Knox has me at a S-M. Both these gloves are a size medium. I would...
REV’IT Cayenne 2 vs. REV’IT RSR 4 Motorcycle Gloves - Best Street Glove Under $150?
zhlédnutí 2,3KPřed 10 měsíci
Picked up both of these gloves and did a first impressions comparison for anyone contemplating a purchase. For the money, hard to find a better pair of gloves in my opinion. Let me know what your current gear setup is and what you like/dislike about these options from REV’IT!
Well done thanks
well done, thanks
Do you still think you need a size small? My palm size is 8.5 which Dianese's size chart states is a medium, but if you are closer to a size large (guessing 9"?) and think you need a small, I feel I should get a small too
I just remeasured my hand and I’m snug at 8.75 inches. So if you are the same as me or a little smaller then I would agree. Size charts are all over the place so it’s really helpful to try on when possible. You can also order from speedaddicts.com who have free return shipping/exchanges if you’re concerned about getting stuck with a glove that doesn’t fit perfectly.
Really nice review, thank you. I was considering the Knox, but will go with the Dainese after watching this.
You are excellent at these reviews, man! I ride a HD Dyna Wide Glide, and I'm getting the Oulton, because it is so protective. I think these gloves will look ok with my leather jacket, or my gray Klim Induction jacket.
Just a quick question: is the stitching on the inside or outside? I bought Rev'it gloves without realising they were on the outside and they came apart unbelievably quickly so I'm looking for something far more durable.
Majority of the stitching is interior, which for some is a pro and others is a con. Some claim interior stitching/seams cause discomfort on the fingers but I have not had an issue with these personally. No glove should fall apart that quickly regardless so I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the Rev’it.
@@AgentCodyBikes Nothing to be sorry about; live and learn. Thanks kindly for the quick reply.
I’m from Valencia, Spain, where the weather is pretty similar to California. And I use them all four seasons. In winter usually with another thin gloves under them.
Nice bro!
more video about gears please
how is the breathability? not to sweaty?
Honestly not as bad as you might think. I would say high summer heat you’re definitely feeling it, I have another set of textile gloves that I use in those situations which are more easily washed. But If these were my only set I could still make it work. They do lack ventilation though, so if that’s a big deal to you I can confirm I’m not feeling any wind through them.
@@AgentCodyBikes but when riding at 68F or 20C and you take them off after a hour of riding its not that your hands are wet? I think im going to buy these btw. What gloves would breathe more that has similar levels of protetion? did you have other gloves on your short list? Thanks for the reply my guy! you are the only one out there reviewing these.
Really great in depth video! I really hate the fact that Knox patented having two hard sliders so any other brand can't have those, thus limiting safety in the market
Was going for the Knox Orsa Leather but after watching your excellent review I'm going for the Oulton - thanks.
Appreciate it! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do
If budget wasnt an issue would you get shoei or the scorpion still?
I think it’s really hard to miss the balance of features offered on the scorpion. If I was to upgrade it may be to a Shoei Neotec or GT Air II. The rf1400 was just not as good of a fit for me. I’ve also been liking the arai contour x. But I do feel like you’re paying double the cost for not a lot more personally. Just my 2 cents, thanks for the comment!
I have the handroid pods. Yours are faulty. The strips on top of the fingers should not rub at all.
Hey man, i want to buy a pair, got anything to say about them? Anything positive or negative ?
Why don’t you record when removing the parts? Would be way more helpful.. but thanks.
Bro im saying
Figured it out tho
Based on your excellent review I bought a pair. I thought I needed a large but wound up with a Medium. Pinky finger has a less than 1/2 inch of excess at tip but other fingers are fine. Snug fit overall and needs a bit of effort to get your hand in initially but that could be because my hands are still a bit swollen from my last crash. : )
I hope they serve you well! Mine are still my favorites
thanks for the tutorial brother!
Wow, dude - I’ve watched a LOT of product reviews but your videos are EXTREMELY concise and valuable without fluff and flair. Kudos for doing such great product videos. Subscribed. FWIW - I wish EVERY motorcycle glove came with a connector between the smallest two fingers - not like anyone sticks their pinky finger out on a motorcycle so why not protect the smallest finger from being torn backward in a crash?
Thanks for the feedback 🙏 and I 100% agree. So few gloves connect your ring finger and pinkie but I feel like that should be a standard feature. I can’t imagine it would make a huge difference comfort wise so why not just add it.
Thanks for the detailed review
Ive been looking for new reviews for this exact helmet bc i wanna start riding but ive never had a motorcycle helmet so i got no clue if it would be comfortable for me but its definetly the one i wanna get but appreciate the review💯
Thanks! It’s been great for me so far, I’m sure it’ll serve you well also.
The flap at 13:24 is for pulling the glove on tighter. Most gauntlet style gloves have that.
Good to know, on the Knox Oulton I had assumed it was there to cover up the velcro. Glad to know it has a better function lol
@@AgentCodyBikes A lot of people also dont know on gauntlet gloves, the knuckle flap is to help you take it off easier with the other gloved hand.
It was a great and detailed video! Have you found a good replacement yet?
Yep! The Knox Oulton MKII is my current favorite. Can’t recommend it enough. I have a video reviewing it as well.
Thanks for the review. May I ask what are the measurement of your hand? Some say the size chart on Nox website is not correct. I think medium should be just what I'm looking for so would really appreciate if you can let me know the size of your hand. ;)
My hand circumference measures between 8.75-9 inches. Hope that helps!
@@AgentCodyBikes Thanks!
Great review. Based on your usage, do you think the Oulten will be good for all day road trips in 70-85f temperature range ? I want the protection and comfort, but not sure how good the ventilation is. BTW, your reviews are very thorough . Looking forward to your future gear reviews. Thanks
Thanks! I would say if you’re maintaining significant speed then the gloves won’t be too hot in those conditions. If you’re in stop and go traffic at 85 degrees it will definitely get warm. They aren’t the most ventilated gloves around for sure. If possible I’d recommend a dedicated summer pair, I have a pair of REVIT Dirt 3s that I’d use in the hottest months just to keep the Oultons from getting too sweaty. Good luck with your choice!
Really good review. Thank you. Did you eventually go with one or the other ?
Went with the secret third option, Knox Oulton MKII 😎
Good review, thanks. The Knox looks a bit spooky with all that Alien braids
Definitely an acquired taste for sure. Love it or hate it
From a self-professed Glove-o-holic, outstanding video! I feel your pain on excess flappage with straps, so here's my pro tip: on all my gloves, I take them to my local leather goods/repair shop. It's a family run business that focuses mostly on luggage/handbags/shoe repair. I pay $30 per pair of gloves, and they stitch extra Velcro into the glove (the sticky, not "furry" part of the Velcro). They do it so that it appears seamless, and although your tight for space between where your Velcro ends and the ginormous ulna protector begins, it looks as though there's some surface area where it could be done. Call around and see if you can find someone because it's worth it. The best, most protective gloves on the market can't do their job if they come off in a crash. Thanks again for the video. Mad respect for your safety consciousness!
That’s a great solution, I’ll definitely look into that! Appreciate the feedback 😁
I don't know how on earth I came by your channel, maybe it's an algorithm thing, but good choice of a helmet I have the same helmet but it's an Evo carbon, cost like 600$ from europe,I had it for a year now, bought for the same reasons, value for the money,I liked the airfit system and the glossy carbon that made me buy it,I have a lot of Helmets from the best brands, agv, xlite, icon, but this lid is one of the best I wore, but the liner feel on the xlite is much better IMHO!!
Happy the algorithm is doing me some favors, appreciate the comment! Definitely validated my choice. But those X-Lites look super nice, will have to look into those as well.
The palm is softer on the Handroid i think one guy said it was kangaroo leather
Pretty sure you’re right. My bad if I said differently. Thanks for the comment
Nice, thanks bro
No worries, thanks for the comment 👌🏼
Thank you for this detailed comparison. Your description of the Cayenne 2 is everything I'm looking for in my next glove. My only concern is whether it's gauntlet (however short and close fitting) will fit inside my jacket sleeve.
Unless your jacket has zero stretch and is super tight on your bare wrist, I’m confident it’ll fit underneath. It really is minimal/low profile so you should be all good. I say if that’s the only thing holding you back then pull the trigger and enjoy them! Thanks for the comment.
Excellent review..👌
Thanks!
What is the circumference of your palm bro?
thank you bro I chose RSR cuz of its extra wrist protection
I'm in LA, too, and just like you, want a gauntlet glove. Fantastic video. Well done. I THINK I like the RSR better; it's longer, although slightly less protection. I like the longer style, but you say the Cayenne is more substantial and has better velcro, so I have to go with the Cayenne being a better glove as far as protection. But the feel is important, and with the longer style, I have to go with the RSR.
Thanks for the comment! Another glove to consider is the Knox Oulton MK2. I really recommend that one. I got ahold of it after I had already made this video and it was great. Has more protection than either of these gloves but is just as comfortable, will try to make a video of it as well. Good luck on your decision!
