another East Texas Adventure, but with slick red clay, mud, and alot of water.
We met up with the Dual Sport guys.

Matthew, Robert, Greg and myself set out to ride around east Texas. we got into a little mud, some sand, and near the end a downpour.

Yesterday's ride with Matthew and his T7 At around 1:07 you see Matthew fall down while moving a tree. At about 3:15 we get lost, log hopping and navigating in circles. And around 7:20 we get into the mud. Good sand roads in between Edit with InShot: v.inshotapp.net/invite

Hey was that the ET200? I did the first half on my 1290 but would probably enjoy it more on my T7. I was thinking of heading back out there soon.
@BigDaveTALKS it was parts of the east texas 450 and some other roads that we put together on OnX

Looks like your friend is still running the stock tires or are they something else? What park was that with the Karen? Good vid btw.
@Txfire409 he has the k60 scout tires, they aren't great for the slick stuff. Was hanks creek, I wouldn't have put the Karen in the video, but she was very rude (I edited that part out) so I thought she should stay in it lol.

Ya'll are on the equestrian trails and breaking the law, there are no motorized vehicles allowed in that forest.
@stephanieh6893 I was unaware, we were invited to ride a private piece of property with permission. So either we were way in the wrong, or you are confusing that area with somewhere else. I just followed the leader.
Yeah, the colored diamond trail markers are the equestrian trails, and the orange blaze marks on the trees show you're in the national forest but not on a fs road 👍

@hunterlabarge2060 rode from Ratcliff Texas to Maydelle. Short little 60 mile run one way. Rain was coming so we took the highway back to Lufkin from Rusk.
Nice riding. Looks like Crockett. I remember those muddy straights at the beginning.

In the days of my youth maybe... Not so much anymore ;-) I'll take loose sand over that stuff all day long!

I also have a 22klr650 and plan on heading up to mena arkansas on mine first of august from louisiana to ride up to queen wilamena mountain over in to oklahoma

Isn’t it a nice feeling when you’re slow or stopped on a KLR and it gets off balance. There’s that moment where it’s still far from being on the ground, but you know that’s where it’s headed and there ain’t a damn thing you can do about it except get out of the way.

I carry a folding hand saw that takes common size sawzall blades and it makes quick work of limbs and small logs and stuff just for occasions like this. I’m on a 2018 crf 250 rally
I will be putting a saw on my bike from now on. We've been in too many situations where one would help us out.
@@TyHuffADV The utility of being able to use metal specific or gnarly toothed wood cutting blades means that I can cut out damaged metal components like a broken spoke or the bent tail of a bolt as well as trail clearing

Do you have stock exhaust or have you installed aftermarket. Sounds pretty sweet I have a 22klr650 just thinking about doing some changes on mine
