That was the new south side elementary an jr high it was replaced from the 2016 flood the elementary use to be there on range it is now the denham spring stem lab an demham spring elementary was replaced too there has been a lot change from the flood that had a lot them home 6 feet of water or more

I drove or should I say conquered this drive today. Beautiful once in a lifetime views - because I doubt my nerves would allow me to drive it again.

I lived there in 1965. Back then it was a solid Mormon town, the high school had 3 rooms for the High School. I loved that town, everyone knew everyone else there. We didn't live there long, but I sure loved that town. I don't remember it being so GREEN! But we lived about a mile from school. I walked to school every day. Dad was ex-military and we kept moving every year or every two years. We went to Tucson next. The jump from Saint David school to Tucson high was traumatic. THS was a giant college level facility, never made a single friend there, never saw any of the same people in each class I went to. I liked Tucson in general, beautiful desert houses and we lived in the foothills. Most kids in Saint David moved away after High School. Not much to do in town there, but we loved roaming the desert back of our house, you could hike forever out there. Before that we had lived in Tombstone and Fort Huachuca. Tombstone was a real trip, but the elementary school had some real tough kids there, bullies, but the history there was amazing. I would find all kinds of old artifacts out in the boonies, and lots of old dangerous mineshafts there too.

Wow. Haven't been there since my semester as an exchange student at the university some many years ago. Interesting to see, much of it looks familiar.

I try to go down here once every 2 years for eating Dolphin fish. MacDaddy off beach st is by far my favorite. But FIns and Cody are also top picks.

The Harrah's casino is what is left of the grad casino which Katrina destroyed in 2005. The main part was on the beach side and was a Casino that ranked with Beau Rivage casino. The section that you went by on Howard Ave (brick road) is where the old Barq's root beer building use to be and where the blues club "Ground Zero" and is co-owned by Morgan Freeman. when you go to Biloxi, you need to research the old Biloxi history, Biloxi once was a place filled with shrimp factory's like DeJean's (My wife worked there when she was 19 years old) and was located on the beach side of Hwy 90, across from St. Michael's church that had a roof like a big shell.

My grandparents had a farm just south of town in Shiloh so I spent a lot of time in Mexia in the 80s as a kid. Went back for the first time since 1994 4 years ago and it’s gone way downhill.

Lived in Copperas Cove in the 80's. Had my High School years their. My School I went to is now the Junior High (Bulldawg Stadium). Had the best years of my life in The Cove. There was so much going on back then for the small town. Busy all the time. It was great. Go back quite often. Still have friends their I visit.

Higgenboth… whatever. It’ll always be Wilkerson’s. And that’s just not “Joe’s” it’s never mind. “Joe’s” is perfect! Best pancakes and breakfast ever. However Roland at Trinity Cafe there on the square had him whooped on the fried catfish and chicken fried steak. Fisherman’s Pride recently started selling fresh catfish, and they are literally swimming before they see a knife. And they beat everyone on their fried fish.

Walked out of that same unit 30 years ago and never looked back... I remember taking my bus token sheet whatever it was.. Cashing the 50 bucks out and going to If I remember their was a dairy queen close by. I got out with another dude that just did ten flat. We both went into the bathroom at DQ and washed our faces in the sink. We were kinda scared to death actually, but excited to be out of course.. Wow that was so long ago. I'm almost 52 now.. I do not recommend going to TDCJ. Not a pleasant place. Near 3 years was enough for me.
