I wouldn't buy the 371 nor the 261. Both fail right out of the box. I purchased 2) 261 which Frabill replaced for me with 371's. The bearings pressed into the spool are not pressed at the same depth causing the free fall adjustment not to work properly. If the reel is tipped from side to side, the adjustment works one way but not the other. The spool slides away from the friction adjustment tab inside the reel. Basically it allows free fall unadjusted when tipped away from the reel handle but willwork as you'd want it if tipped toward the handle. Again I got these directly from Frabil as replacements for the 261's that the drag couldn't be adjusted. Sloppy Quality Control.

Obviously, they are two possibilities: (1) Case one: (I) Was using a wrong pan head screw which is not long enough. (II) One washer was missing. * At the same time, the out going QA never do their job well. (2) Case two: This is a re-work assembly. Disassembled for certain reasons and then assembled back again, and made these mistakes during assemble back. Personally, I feel that the (2) should be more possible, otherwise there will be having many customers complaining similar mistakes.

How much do you find the fineness and hardness varies from stone to stone with charnley forests? Do you find the ones with more red in them to have more cutting power and be coarser? It seems very hard to find the hardest slowest specimens which are suitable for razors. They are amazing for knives though.
