I craft most my books on the edge, only make a 180° fold first if I need to bulk up the book. This one is made on the edge.

@@jeannettdavis493 I wrote the information in the description: My book has 49 sheets (98 pages) and is 4.3 cm high ☺️ I always aim to keep the same proportions in the finished book as the original image.

You make the marks for the embossed/inverted bits, same as you would mark a numerical pattern. For multi layered patterns there’s normally different colours on the lines but this one was just an inverted pattern that I decided to craft both inverted and embossed. I can see on the pattern what bits I want to do embossed / inverted.

Its a craft just like all other crafts. Most books used would end up in landfill. Book folding rescues unwanted books and gives them a new meaning. For most book folds the books can still be read. :-)

A used book has been turned into art instead of going into a landfill. Pretty awesome to give books a new life.

It is not in my taste, even though I appreciate skill and effort. But I think it's really lovely that everyone can find a niche.

It depends on the book and the situation. Many of my books I just give away for free. I charge anything from free up to 900SEK. I love to craft these books but I can’t charge for all the time I spend crafting them unfortunately. I’m happy as long as I can get some money in so I can buy paper and ink and craft supplies.

It’s a brilliant thing, I got it years ago… I believe I bought it on Amazon. It’s called a Book Stopper I think and it’s actually a book page holder / book weight ☺️

My husband built my book stand for me years ago from things we had at home. We 3D-print the arms and those bits we can sell but not the base, dowels, screws and nuts (they can be bought in any hardware store) and a lot cheaper than for me to buy it here in Sweden and ship. @@adventureswithfabric6710 I only have one photo of the finished book and posted it on my Community here so you can have a look. It was around a year ago I crafted this book and I don’t have it anymore, so I can’t take any new photos of it I’m afraid.

Abetter question would have been "Can you explain what it is you are making", the way you have phrased it is showing your ignorance towards other people and their crafts and really not wanting to know what it really is.

Where the numbers are on the pattern depends on what program they are made in and how the pattern maker made the patterns. I actually prefer them on the side myself, it makes it easier since I cut the top and bottom off before I attach the strips. Best regards from Sweden.
