So anyway the Lakers would go on to win the NBA Championship that year against Boston. Fun fact: James Worthy would shoot 62% from the floor for the playoffs.

I come here quite often these last few seasons to remind me of a time when The Lakers were The Lakers. I can't stomach what we've become. This was one of the highlights of childhood. Growing up in LA. Chick Hearn, Vin Scully, Art Leboe. Music Plus, Millers Outpost, Ralph's. Cal Worthington, Fred Rated. Of course, Magic, Kareem, and Cooper. But also Landsberger, Chones, and Eddie Jordan. And over at UCLA? Rod Foster, David Greenwood, and all the rest. The good old days for sure.
