VCU Health Flight Paramedic - Garett Freeman
VCU Health Flight Paramedic, Garett Freeman, was a paramedic at Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA). After leaving RAA to gain experience in Hanover County Fire and EMS, Garett was offered the opportunity to become a flight paramedic with VCU Health's LifeEvac 3. Garett spoke about his journey and how his experience at RAA helped him succeed.

RAA CPR and AED Demonstration

A Sudden Cardiac Arrest can happen without warning. It is the leading cause of death in the U.S. More lives could be saved if people learned and performed Hands-Only CPR and used an Automatic External Defibrillator commonly referred to as an AED. RAA Training Coordinator Harold Mayfield demonstrates how to perform Hands-Only CPR and use an AED.
