I also prefer the decal under the finish, but in my case, I’m building a David Gilmour red Strat replica. It’s a 1984 ‘57 reissue. Not only is the decal on top of the finish, but the contour body logo is made up of two different decals. It’s quite funny.

Hello sir. If you remember, how far up the sides (door openings) did you glue the headliner? Is it just where it curves to the outside of the car or did you also glue some of the inside like where the coat hooks and seat belt retainer hooks go? Thank you.

Hi I want to paint my motorcycle tank etc , I recently found the SEM candy red . Could you list the products name or number , i want a medium coarse silve basecoat , if the SEM silver basecoat hasnt got enough flake would i need to add the mini flake 6024 to my mix . Is it important to use all sem products ? Did you use mix binder or mix clear for the candy , hope I got that right , how many coats of the sem candy do you/they recommend , sorry about all the Qs, DIYer

have any experience with the lacquer darkening the wood on the headstock? i sanded everything down and there's no longer a raised edge on the decal, but underneath the decal is way lighter than outside. Will it eventually lighten back or did I completely mess up here>

I put a good 1 way check valve at the pump in the line and never did it again ! I cut a hole in the floor above the tank for easy replacement of the pump and it gave me plenty of room (use all brass fittings and remember there is 60 lb of fuel pressure so do a good job !

I owned the same car, they are prone to start issues, from too much ethyl alcohol left in the system from winter fill ups as it turns warmer, leaking Fuel Injectors flooding the engine, to broken cam sensors, to warn out air flow sensors. To check fuel line pressure you either tap threads into the rail terminal point or use a T on the rail where the fuel line from the pump hooks in post filter. Filter clogs also cause issue. Glad you solved it!

I felt the sb was handicapped. Sounded like it had an issue, making more raspy than rumble. Obviously the bb wins this round. With the right cam and a low restriction exhaust, a small block can sound like a big block. A mopar 318 with a whiplash cam convincingly sounds like a mildly built 440.

What if you turn the screw to increase hot water but instead of the water getting hotter, I'm at the point where the screw will have water coming out of it. So I stop unscrewing and put it back to the way it was.

thats kinda unfair...they didn't use the same exhaust to their specs to create that deep sound

Heat that housing with a weed burner and pack the race in dry ice it will practically fall into place ( use dry ice not a household freezer)

If you run your air into another large "tank" to slow down the air to give it time to condense it helps too.

I always get rid of the original petcock aninstal an elbow then a pipe then a ball valve. It keeps my hands away from spiders and such and makes it easier to access. I have a harbor freight refrigerated air dryer that the auto drain has started leaking air. It's made like a ball with 2 halves that the o ring has dried up . I can't get the o ring. I tried sealant that didn't work. I may try what you have or just go manual like the compressor tanks I have. Thank you
