Made In Mexico (Happy Cinco de Mayo!) | Master Your Glass
On this episode of MYG I make a Spirit-forward Tequila cocktail which is ideal for those who wish to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a more boozy cocktail option. Also, no agave-based spirit was used in the lowball-style cocktail. I call this drink the Dusty Corn

Dusty Corn 2 ounces (60mL) Abasolo Whisky
1 ounce (30 mL) Nixta Licor de Elote (Corn Liqueur)
Method: Stir the 2 ingredients and strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wheel or lime chip.

    To me personally, Sandeman 10 y/o is superior to 20 y/o. Great video, love your articulate word selection. Joy to watch, definitely picking up a bottle.

    Out of all of those absinthes none are the real deal. In my opinion the Jade lines especially 1901 and Terminus Oxygenee are the best followed by Absinthe like Grön opal, Pontissalienne, ALANDIA Époque or Mansinthe. Cheers!

    You guys in US are absolutely lucky to have anything above the 100th anniversary edition. I am French and let me tell you it's virtually impossible to get any premium Grand Marnier except if you pay up to 10 times the original price ordering from eastern europe or Switzerland with no guarantee how well it's been preserved from light and temperature variations. I am really sad because I love Grand Marnier more than anything else and I wish I could try anything above the 100th anniv. edition. It's a dream. Hope you've enjoyed every single drop of these amazing products. The 100th anniversary is absolutely wonderful with its tobacco & sweet orange notes, I can't imagine how the above editions taste.

    Great video! However, additives do matter. They cheapen the product and brands like don julio charge high $$$. Clase Azul etc. products like El Tesoro will always be better because no additives and less expensive for a greater product

    This video is easily the most visually engaging, best edited, with very dynamic shots and leading transitions that keep you on it's host/subject matter of topic. Also deeply within the themes within Futurism to not only question the meta by making 30 minute videos, and then to juxtapose off ones own challenge to make a 3 minute plus one. Let alone make a non-agave drink for Cinco de Mayo. Awesome stuff my friend.

    Funny. I did live in Livorno for a couple of years and never took notice of the Galliano. Of course, I wasn't much into mixed whiskey drinks then as much as I am now. I've recently learned to love Averna in my Black Manhattans and I also have some Cynar sitting in my bar. I also like it neat with a dessert. And to me... the Campari is just nasty. I could never drink that straight. I assume that the Aperol is similar because it looks the same, but I've never tried it to be honest. Incidentally, if you don't like the Fernet Branca, look for the Branca Mente. It's quite an improvement.

    The popularity of Vermouth during Prohibition in America found its way the the UK where it was combined with gin. The Brits named the cocktail Gin and It, the It short form for Italian Vermouth. I learned this from my English MIL who drank it as a young woman back in the day and still enjoys a Gin and It with a twist of lemon on occasion currently.

    have not seen the Savoia in stores-I literally bought Italicus the first time I saw a bottle entirely on the quality of the bottle-I assumed that anyone who paid that much attention to packaging design likely paid attention to what was inside. As a home bar enthusiast, I tend to lean into completionism, lol, so I'll buy the Sovoias should I find them.
