I was receiving a 9009 error code, after about an hour of searching I found that if I copy the path to the exe of python and paste it in the webui user in notepad it fixed it. Hopefully that helps someone else.

Yes, you said it, Sebastian. Civitai is a big player in this. Not sure about others, but without Civitai being on board with all that goes with that, I won't be bothered spending time experimenting with SD3. Civitai obviously knows they have some clout here, so this does put pressure on Stability. This is like the relationship between game publishers and big name gaming content creators... the two sides have a mutually-beneficial relationship. But if one side tries to push their power/control/authority too far, the other side might just walk away, even if doing so hurts them too in the short run. All makes sense, but that does mean that Stability will know they also have a vested interest in fixing this quickly. Give it another week or two, and I bet they will have refined their legal terms to allow the ban to be lifted.

It is a shame how the release of SD3 has gone. I created some excellent models for SD1.5 and SDXL with my Acorn Is Spinning models so I was looking forward to SD3. Hopefully they will get the licensing stuff worked out soon, otherwise, it could be pretty bad for Stability AI as SD3 was banned on CitivAI for now and they are one of the primary sources where models are download from. I use my models for videos on my youtube channel. I would love to see how much better they could get with SD3 eventually.

Get ready, cause stability is already saying that any models you use of theirs, of their stability in general, IF you don't pay then you cannot use what you created when you did pay. If you close account, you must and so must your clients get rid of anything they created using their models/stability. Others will follow in doing this in future.

Everyone was complaining that "Emad" was unorganised and worst CEO, turns out the British cant organise themselves to have a decent release without an asian. Their ousted the guy who started the company and now they cant do a decent release. Clearly Emad was better CEO atleast we had releases which were better than the previous one.

I am not versus Licensing, but if there is a license, I should "own" my creations such as pictures, LoRas, Models and not be claimed by Stability... Adobe just did something similar, Facebook/IG take all pictures to train their AI, etc... Unity, Dungeons and Dragons... My whole gripe was that you called CivitAI asking their lawyers what the licensing means "a hostile move"... When they just need to know what the license actually means. It is not a critique on your channel, on your infos, just that they - and YOU use SD commercially as well, by talking about the models, when their are ads here or fees on Patreon etc - need to know how the license affects them. I hope you understand the difference here.

Here's the issue with AI, in general. I understand that it takes money to train models, and I would understand a system of donations. *BUT* these model are trained on public data on the pretense of "educational, no profit usage". I am sorry for those companies but as long as they don't have permission for every single image in the dataset, any output is by definition public domain and uncopyrightable. Anybody can claim ownership as much as he wants, but I will ignore it because it's BS.

I hope the rest of you were working model-agnostically as well!

AI has far outpaced the establishment of legal frameworks to regulate data collection and usage. Since attribution of AI-generated content to specific sources is nearly impossible, treating such content as public domain is the most logical approach. This ensures that no entity profits directly from potentially copyrighted material. However, if a model is trained exclusively on data from consenting, compensated individuals (and is strictly documented as such), different rules could apply. Edit: In my opinion, we must recognize that the models themselves would not exist if not for the data harvested from the internet. Therefore, public domain is the democratic solution.

I honestly cannot wait till the internet is flooded with open source models and these companies are forced to take whatever scraps they can get....their entire business is built on a foundation of opensource and they can EASILY monetise their work in better ways...instead they pull restrictive crap like this unnecessarily. They know days are numbered as soon as training algorithms become more efficient and affordable ai focused gpus enter the market. Heck, companies like apple are making ai apps native and free even on low powered phones, baked into the os. SD are trying to make their money asap and bail.
