A couple buddies and I had a place like this built on our families lake house property in the 90s. My father built it back in 76' when the drinking age was 18. We were 16 when we used/ran it during the summers in the 90s. It was back off in the sticks of Ocala, FL. Unfortunately, there are no shortage of low life parasitic azz holes. We used to leave the place unlocked with the thinking, "Nobody will break in and destroy it if they can just walk in and enjoy it. It went great from 76-94. Someone burned it down one year and the next year someone broke into the house and burned it down. With so many memories we decided to put a mobile home on the foundation and started to rebuild the beer shack. It went good for 2 years. 3rd summer we went to get it ready for the summer and found both burned down again. We left a custom sign with a few innuendos about their mothers and sisters. We setup a camera (which was expensive af in 98-99) and sure enough they couldn't help themselves and set the sign on fire while saying enough to incriminate themselves. It took a bit over a year to get them identified and charged. It turned out they were a bunch of inbred deliverance type mfrs who's family tree is a straight line. They assumed the property was owned by a black family that used it with complete permission. The father was a man my grandfather met at 17 in the Navy in the Pacific theater during ww2, Godfather to their children, and the youngest served in Vietnam with my uncle. Even though our families lived states apart, they were family because of our grandfather's time in ww2. You can't get blood from a turnip so there would be no financial compensation to rebuild and so we sold it in 03'. Your video made me a little nostalgic thinking of the memories. Sorry for the length!

My wife and I stopped in there during a basketball trip for our daughters. We had time to kill and it was right across the street from the gym. Cool bar and ice cold beer. Nice place!
